This coat is a life-saver! As my growing belly was growing out of all coats that I own, I was getting very worried because the winter weather was kicking in! So, I went on WalMart's website and found this amazingly affordable coat! I wasn't sure what to expect, but am very, very happy with it. It keeps me warm even in freezing temps. I will say that I haven't tested it by hanging out in the cold for very long periods of time, so I don't know how it would hold up then, but for everyday use, it does the job!
I only have two minor complaints about it. The cuffs are pretty tight around my wrists, but not enough that I feel I need to fix it. When I first ordered the medium and realized it wasn't big enough, the wrists were definitely too tight. I returned the medium and got a large and it gave me more room to grow and the wrist bands are tolerable. I would definitely recommend ordering a size up.
My second complaint is that I wish it had a draw string at the bottom. When the cold winds are blowing, I have to hold the jacket close to my belly to prevent the air from going up into the jacket and giving me a chill. But, for $15, I don't feel very slighted by this! I would be more upset about these minor inconveniences if I had paid a hefty price.
The hood is comfy, easy to use and keeps my head and ears warm and protected from the cold.
My favorite thing about this jacket is the compliments that I get from complete strangers! I have the leopard print and everyone thinks it is absolutely beautiful! And I feel beautiful and trendy in it! Admittedly, I only got that print because I only had a choice between that one and the red one, and my 7-year-old son thought the leopard print looked cool, so I just went with it. Normally, that would have been my last choice. But I think wearing this coat has brought me over to actually enjoying wearing leopard print!
I am grateful to WalMart for providing this maternity coat to all of us mommies who don't want to spend a hundred dollars on a coat we may only wear for one season.
