CAL-SPA Hot Tub Temp fix to Diverter Cap blowing off!

I used this to temporarily cap a Diverter Valve opening on a Cal-Spas hot tub. The threads on the PVC pipe had become stripped and so the Diverter valve cap was blowing off under normal pressure. This completely sealed the opening so the hot tub is functional (minus the ability to divert water) even on the highest jet pressure. This allows the Hot Tub to be used until a permanent repair is made to replace the diverter plumbing. The PSI of the hot tub on my HIGH JET setting is about 14psi. This is rated much higher and so it works extremely well. This is the ONLY plug that I could find that would work on the pvc pipe that has an inside diameter (ID) of 2.25 inches. Most other plugs are only good for an inside diameter of 2.0 inches and so they fall short. More people should know that this can be used on a hot tub for this purpose.
