    • A. Yes the resistance can be added, it operates like riding a bike and going up hill so you caan add as little or as much resistance as your would like.

    • A. Yes. You can adjust the resistance. Not much of a workout without resistance but it is better than sitting on the couch.

    • A. Just tighten down the knob on the frame below the handlebars for however much tension you want against the wheel. No tension no workout.

    • A. You can adjust the brake knob for extra resistance...it's really good at normal, the heavy flywheel makes for a good ride, you can definately feel the extra resistance with a little turn of the knob tho. :)

    • A. The Exerpeutic Brake Knob is useful for resistance but of course I consider myself - light weight-. My personal trainer uses the brake knob for up hill climb and then releases the tension for long term endurance. Hope this is helpful. Vagamundo

    • A. Lisa, not big or bulky at all. If you look at the picture of the man on the bike, that is your area that it covers. These bikes are very stable, with a small footprint and has small wheels on the bottom footing to move it. You just lift the bike from the backside and roll it where you need it, so you can move it out of the way. It is very heavy to pick the entire unit up at once, so don't try it, but if you lift it from the back and put the weight on the small wheels (located on the front foot, under the big wheel) to move it, it keeps all the weight of the bike on the floor and is balanced when you move it to a different spot. Hope this helps.

I'm an avid Road Cyclist logging 5,000+ miles every year on my road bike. But there are days when the weather is bad or during the Winter when it's just to cold to ride outdoors. I used to mount my bike on a trainer, but it's a hassle and wears my back tire out fast. I looked around for a good quality indoor Spin / training bike that would give me the road bike feel. After Internet research I found this bike. It had all the features that I was looking for and the price was dead on for what I wanted to spend. I ordered it, and it arrived in about a week. It was packaged well, but it did suffer a cracked plastic end cap on the base that the manufacturer replaced free. Everything else was perfect. Easy to put together, built very well you can stand and pedal or do fast sprints and the bike never wobbles or moves. You get a nice firm solid feel when you riding it. Some would say the saddle is uncomfortable, but it feels just fine to me because that's what I ride. When your peddling the bike is very smooth and quiet. The 40LB wheel makes it feel great. This bike looks SHARP! It looks like it cost a lot more than it does and performs well above the price point. Some of my Cycling friends say I'm lying to them about the price. The pedals were nice but I didn't use them because I mounted road pedals that I clip into on the bike instead so I could use my road shoes. But if you want to use the pedals that come with it they are good quality as well. The computer is a very nice touch, and it seems accurate accept for the pulse. But I have never seem any equipment even in my local Gym that gives an accurate reading on this. Also, that's another thing that don't bother me because I wear a Heart Rate monitor with a chest strap when I'm riding, but all other functions are perfect. I really like the handlebars on this I can get the same feel as my road bike bars, or get into that time trial position. I put some elbow pads on for extra comfort that I had, but you don't need them. To sum it all up, I'm glad I purchased this bike. I would recommend it to any one with out hesitation. It's made well, sturdy and gives you a feeling you got a much higher quality bike for the price. I love mine. So whether your a regular Cyclist or some one looking to get into shape this is a great bike. Also I'm 5 foot 8 178 and the bike is the perfect size for me.

I have had my Bike for 3 weeks, and love it! I do 30 minute workouts, trying to get back up to the hour, like I did at the gym. I have no time to get to the gym, so this was perfect! My only thing is, there were no instructions in the box when I received it. Glad I have Mechanical skills, it wasn't to difficult to put together.

Much more sturdy that I thought it would be for the price. Very good looking bike. Seat is uncomfortable if u are new to spinning. Handle bars are a bit shaky when you go from sitting to standing. Its rather loud. The water bottle holder will only fit like a 16 ounce bottle, fyi. If your sweat drips onto the wheel it will make pedaling 100x more difficult u til it dries, so I just put a guard over it. The odometer thing worked accurately for the first few rides. After that half of the screen stopped working, not sure if its because sweat was dripping on it. But I never thought it would actually work anyway, so was not disappointed. Fyi, on average, if your pushin it, you will go about 6 miles in 30 min or 10 miles in a hour. Overall, im really happy with this bike for the price. You always get what u pay for, and this bike exceeded my expectations for such a small price tag. Btw, ive been spinning for years and just wanted one of my own so I wouldnt always have to go to the gym. If anyone has any questions at all, please let me know. Id be more than happy to answer. Btw, a lot of reviews complained about chips and paint being scratched upon home delivery. I avoided this by picking up the bike from the actual store and it was in perfect condition. Had my boyfriend assemble it and he was it was really easy.

I love this bike and the company that provides it! I read a number of reviews that made me skeptical about purchasing it. But, I bought it through Walmart just in case those reviews proved to be the case. It seemed like the main gripe was that of receiving the bike in damaged condition. If yours comes damaged, it is the fault of the carrier not Exerpeutic! The bike is packed very securely. Even wood is used to prevent damage during shipping. It took about as long just to unpack my bike as it did to assemble it. Then, when it comes to customer service. My bike had a very minor problem in that the foam padding on a portion of the handle bars was missing. Their customer service immediately replaced, not just padding but both portions of the actual handlebars. In my estimation, that was going well beyond what was required of them. If I could, I'd rate them higher than a mere 5 stars. By the way, it's an outstanding product as well. Better than what I expected for the price!

This bike met all my expectations. After reading nearly a hundred reviews for bikes in the price range of $200-$500 this one met all the needs and wants. It has it minor issues but one must remember YGWYPF. If I wanted $1000 bike I could have bought one but there is no need when this one performs very similar. The quality of the construction is well done. Very sturdy. Overall the bike is quiet, I can listen to the tv with no issue. There is a minor noise from the chain and gear on the front flywheel but nothing that is distracting. The computer is in metric but a simple call and they will order and send you a replacement no charge. The flywheel doesn't humm or squeak but the simple solve would be silcone spray. It has a hard seat like ALL do but a cover makes life much better. For the money this is a great deal. If I had to buy again I would definately consider this one again. I am a frugal buyer who wants the biggest bang for the buck and this provides just that.
