Seven year old battery still works
I installed a Everstart battery in my Altima seven years ago. It was 15 degrees (F) this morning and the car started fine. My wife was worried about the battery being so old so I had it tested. It still had 441 CCAmps (new rating 700 CCA). But the report still said it should be replaced so I bought another one just to keep the Mrs happy. We plan to keep the car. It's only 24 years old with 246,000 miles. I told the clerk "see you in 2024". Bob H in NW Indiana.

Poor quality
I used this battery 2 years and 4 months and it shows low voltage, not dead. But if you take a week vacation back maybe it is hard to startup. Forget the warranty, I have to buy a new one.

one of the better batteries available.

Did some research and found this is a real good battery. Full replacement warranty for three years. Price is competitive with similar quality batteries. I was going to do a pickup and install myself and opted to have walmart install it. I was able to watch my car being worked on from the waiting area and the tech was careful and professional in his work. There was no charge for the install. (note this was at the chico, ca walmart)

Perfect fit.

Easy to find on Walmart website.... you can pay for product online and then pick up while only waiting on associate to get your battery... they offer to install too.... I personally am not afraid to get my hands dirty though.... they also give YOU money for your old battery....

EverStart Maxx

The only problem is I had to make adjustments to secure battery but its great start on first try and a very good battery better and a lot less in price compaired to die hard or interstate .

1. Good afternoon. It is listed as a maintainance free battery meaning you should not need to add any fluid. It is not a sealed battery.
by EverstartExpert
2. This is not sealed but you shouldn't have to add any water either.
by CommunityAnswer
3. It's not sealed. My battery started to fail before the 3 yr warranty period. I was able to open the battery cover to add distilled water. The battery was 35 months old and didn't need much water even though I live in a hot climate weather environment (Houston, Texas). It's dead, not lasting more than 3 years! Battery water level wasn't the issue.
by qmanq
4. Under usual conditions it's a maintenance free battery. However, very helpfully, the caps can be removed to allow distilled water to be added. In hot climates particularly this is very useful, and stops it running out of water. According to reports, running out of water is the number 1 killer of batteries.
by Watersports30
5. I'm an electrical engineer (MSEE). I have some experience in battery powered electronics as well as vehicles and remote generator sets (with battery start). Basically, the only substantial difference between "maintenance free" and conventional batteries (with removable tops), is that you CANNOT gain access to the maintenance free ones. This means - when you run out of water - buy a new one. With the conventional ones - just add water. Which is cheaper?? Also, with removable tops, you can "probe" the plates with test meters - to determine whether you have a bad cell or not. The "sealed" ones prevent such testing and access. I much prefer to be able to remove tops and see what's going on - but suit yourself. You can always just epoxy the tops on, if you want to deny yourself access. Cheers.
