I actually bought this for my daughter. She has horrible, "splintery", thick calluses on her feet. They crack and bleed. So, my husband has, what I somewhat fondly, call, "Werewolf Feet". Nasty. We've lived at the beach in Southern Baja year round since '96, and our only shoes are flip flops. He has super thick calluses on his feet. He develops huge, deep cracks on his heels, and sometimes under where his toes join his soles. They bleed. He limps. Sometimes whimpers when he walks. So, with a friend's recommendation, I bought some Eucerin for him. When they get bad, before bed, I thickly slather it on his feet, then slip on a pair of little white cotton socks. The results are felt the very next morning! It may take a few nights of this, but it always works! I've been applying it for him for about 9 years now. (I've been trying to get him to use it every night, but he just can't stand wearing the socks to bed... can't say I blame him.) My daughter's just begun using it, but she's also declared it a miracle. Haven't tried it on anything else. Oh. But I have tried the Equate brand on his feet, as well. Not the same. Not worth trying to save a few bucks. Just bite the bullet and pay the extra. Money well spent.

I like a rich creme with lanolin for my psoriasis and very dry skin.

I use Eucerin because it contains lanolin which is one of the best ingredients for moisturizing psoriasis and for the extremely dry skin I have everywhere. Eucerin is thick and it helps if you let the warmth of your fingers help soften it as you rub it in. I am hoping Eucerin will not change this because many people like something that is easy to rub in; yet they don't realize they are getting no emollient properties out of that kind of product. I am just about ready for a new jar, but I'm not happy to see that the company had to reformulate due to sensitivity in some people. The ironic thing about this is that there are raters here complaining about their sensitivity to the new formulation. At least this company is up front about the change and has the courtesy to explain why they made the change. Just hope I'm not sensitive.

I have had very bad skin issues for along time. I have used most of the top products in my life time. I finally tried the Eucerin family. The original Healing product heals my scratches and nicks on my arms and legs from me tearing them up just trying to get the itch to stop. Thanks for making this product and if there is ever a contest for a life time supply, SIGN ME UP!

This is the only product that works for my very dry skin. This product was recommended to me 35 years ago by my mother who is an RN and worked for a dermatologist office. I have tried other products, but they don't provide the moisturizing and repair needed for my very dry skin. I highly recommend Eucerin Original Healing!

I've decided to do a review because the past 2 weeks I tried a different moisturizer and I've been regretting it since! My face is breaking out because I think I'm over moisturizing my face and now I've learned my lesson. I've been a long time long customer and now I'll forever be. No others moisturizer is better then this one.

  • A. It depends on where your dry skin is. If my face is really, really dry I'll wash my face and apply the Eucerin to moist, not wet skin. It's excellent for hands and feet....arms and legs, too.

  • A. For body. Eucerin makes a different product for face. In emergency situations, a tiny bit could be used on face, but it's paste like texture would not be conductive for an easy glide on delicate facial skin.

  • A. Very thick. Very good. Can use on face if you have issues. Flaking skin. I wouldn't - too thick - clogs pores.

  • A. I use it on my scalp but I'm bald. If you have hair, this creme is too thick and will leave gunk on it.

  • A. Eucerin healing cream is a paste textured product. I suppose u could use on scalp but would definitely have oily hair until you wash it after use. Could defeat the purpose. Personally, I would not use on scalp.

  • A. I never tried it on scalp. It takes a while for it to get absorbed in to your skin, I would think you would have to wash your hair pretty well after you left it on the scalp for a while.

  • A. The primary ingredients are: Water (hydrating), Petrolatum (exclusion agent to keep water in your skin), Mineral Oil (exclusion agent to keep water in your skin), Ceresin (emulsifying agent to form an emulsion between the water and oils), Lanolin Alcohol (aka pure lanolin) Phenoxyethanol (broad spectrum preservative to prevent bacteria and fungus from developing in the product and make it shelf stable) Piroctone Olamine (broad spectrum preservative to prevent bacteria and fungus from developing in the product and make it shelf stable). Please not all content marked as ( ) are my own additions explaining the formulary and it's purpose in the cream.

  • A. Water, petrolatum, mineral oil, ceresin, lanolin alcohol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone. For dry, sensitive skin, like glue putting it on. Does an excellent job and good for scar therapy. Only drawback is the glue like consistency, but it finally works into the skin. Recommended by my Dermatologist and PCP.
