    Worked Perfectly!

This early ovulation test worked perfectly for me! I started taking them a day before my LH surge, so the first day nothing was detected (had a faint surge line). The next day I re-tested and it showed an LH surge (the surge line was as dark as the reference line). Sure enough, 2 days later I had ovulation symptoms. The tests were easy to use and the directions were simple to follow. The way I tested was by urinating in a disposable cup first thing in the morning, holding the stick at a tilt for 20 seconds, then laying on a flat surface once the cap was placed. The directions include a chart to determine a time frame to begin testing. It also recommends not urinating 4 hours before testing and avoiding excessive drinking which can dilute your urine sample. This is why I tested the way I did. Please know that ovulation tests are different than pregnancy tests. They show results differently so please read all instructions carefully prior to using. Hope this helps!

    Horrible Quality, Impossible to Read

I've been using the First Response OPK for a few months and decided to switch to these to save some money. They are completely useless. To show what I mean I used 3 tests today (which I normally don't do) just to show how inconsistent the results are: All 3 were taken on the day of my expected LH surge. Test A: taken with first morning urine. It took 3-4 mins for results to show. It's inbetween the positive and negative colors. I'm going to assume it's positive? Second pic is Test A 5 mins after taking it. Test B: taken 4 hours later. It took 10+ mins for a result to show. The lines are noticeably thinner. I'm always going to assume positive based on the color. Test C: taken in late afternoon. Two solid lines of the same color and width appeared after 5 mins but then the first line began to fade very quickly. I'm confused by this result as well. The second picture is Test A right after I took it because the box said to discard after 10 mins and not read the results.

    Don't waste your money!!

These tests are awful! Not one of the seven tests gave me an accurate reading! I thought it was me doing something wrong or my body so I went ahead and bought the more expensive clearblue test ($30) and they gave me an accurate reading. Started off showing that I wasn't ovulating but a few days later gave me a positive, right on time. I will include pictures so you can see what I mean. The clearblue test on top is showing I'm ovulating while the equate ones say I'm not. Something obviously isn't right. That's pretty horrible that the tests are giving false readings, especially to people who are TTC. Go ahead and splurge and buy the more expensive test if you can, trust me, it's worth the money to know you are getting an accurate result.

Low quality and only works with use of a cup

I usually use Clear Blue or First Response but there were none left in the store so I bought Equate. I had always urinated directly on to the stick (no mess and easier this way) so I did so with the first test in the morning. The test window looked like the blue dye had run everywhere so I wasn't sure if it was positive or negative. I decided to do another one the same evening when my husband got home but that time, I put the stick into urine which had been collected in a cup. I wasn't quite sure what the result was (two lines which were very similar) as both lines were much lighter than the tests of named brands. Although I would be inclined to say positive? Also, it seemed there was a single line perpendicular to the test and surge line too but it did fade, which is strange. I wouldn't buy again because of the unreliability.

    Worked for me!

It worked for me but you do get what you pay for!
