The Best Value Out There!
Consumer Reports is right, this stuff is the best! It works, and lasts, as well or better than Coppertone Sport or Banana Boat. I'm blond & burn very easily - this stuff allows me to be in the sun for 4 hours! It takes a little rubbing to get it to absorb into your skin, but it doesn't feel greasy or sticky after you apply it.

Works Great, Unpleasant Smell, Leaves Aftertaste
I have been a satisfied Equate Kids Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 user for years. It has worked great, but concerns over titanium oxide and the difficulty of cleaning the residue off the shower floor made me try something different. Consumer Reports July 2013 rated Equate Ultra Protection SPF 50 a best buy. With mt satisfaction of Equate products, that was enough for me. I have been using Ultra for about 2 weeks, 3-4 days a week for golf. Both my wife and I noticed a strong odor from the sunscreen, a very heavy chemical smell, sort of like peppermint. After using the Ultra for about a week, I noticed a constant chemical aftertaste and odor. I discontinued use for several days and the taste and odor diminished. I used it again today and they are back, strong as ever. All the other comments about the smell were positive, so it may be just a bad batch. I suggest if you get some Ultra, or any sunscreen with a strong smell, take it back immediately.

Equate Sunscreen

This is rated high as far as sunscreens and it is very inexpensive. Like many sunscreens, it is more oily than most lotions. Went out during the day for an hour and didn't burn. It is working because ordinarily I would get sunburned without protection.

Equate is our go to brand

Equate is our go to brand for so many things it seems. Why pay more when you get the same effectiveness for less cost? We use this sunscreen and it works the same as more expensive brands and we go through so much in the summer it's helpful for us to not spend an arm and leg for sunscreen.

Great Sunscreen

This sunscreen: Equate Ultra Protection Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50 got the best rating from Consumer Reports July 2013 issue, so that's why I bought it. Also, FYI sunscreens only last for about 3 years.

THE BEST SUNSCREEN ON THE MARKET

This product came highly recommended to me. I agree! It does the job of protecting and the price is fantastic. I just purchased 5 tubes of the sunscreen because I don't want to run out of it. I had to order it on Walmart.com because the store was sold out of it. Very popular. I love it and recommend it. I have heard it is the best sunscreen on the market and I agree!!

1. It isn't scented as in perfume but it does have a scent. Whatever they put in suntan lotion, it has that slight odor. Every sun tan lotion seems to have that scent.

4. Yes. It smells like a nice neutral cocoa butter in the tube but when you put it on it becomes a STRONG orange blossom scent. I stopped using it after 2 uses. Why can't they make it unscented?
by logc
5. Definitely, unfortunately. Last year, it had a nice scent. The current version's smell is awful.
by Paddler
6. Yes, it has a beachy kind of smell. Kind of like Coppertone.

3. don't suffer from stining sunscreen. I have contacts and the stinging is absolutely terrible when it happens so a huge priority for me is non-stinging. I have found products that work great without EVER stinging, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 55 is one of them. There are others.
