It can hold anything that fits on the shelves as long as the weight doesn't exceed 17.6 lbs...

That said, this isn't designed to hold tv's, but to hold components like dvd / bluray players, xbox's, etc.

it's not supposed to hold a tv. you mount it onto the wall UNDERNEATH your tv.

As for the weight of a 27" TV; no problem. You could measure the base of your TV and see if it would fit on the shelf. So yes for the weight. Maybe for the actual size.

No it dosent hold tv's glass shelfs that only hold small things like DVD players, Xbox, ect.

They aren't made for TVs, but if you screw it to a stud and you make sure it weighs 20 pounds or less, then yes.

Depends on the weight of the tv. It could definitely balance the base of the tv fine, BUT the shelf only holds 17 pounds.

This is for components only. VCR, Blue Ray, DVD or a cable or dish equipment. You need to buy a TV Mount not a shelf unit. If the TV doesnt have mounting attachments your stuck with an entertainment center or TV cart.

The "offset" is an optical illusion because of the angle the picture was taken from. The shelves are all centered.

Yes. The screws that attach it to the wall are right down the center and the shelves attach to the center bracket.

Yes. Use drywall toggles. These are much stronger than anchors.

Yes but you would have to make brackets to attach the 2 studs and then you can mount to your brackets anywhere between the studs.

Where my tv is installed the studs are on the sides. So can you mount this in the middle without the studs?

I love the way the shelves look is a very elegant item but I will warn people to take a good look at the assy because the instruction is not that good so when you start to assemble the unit 1) take a close look at the arms that hold the glass make sure that they are facing the right way. 2) make sure that the clamp that holds the arms are not to tight so you can later adjust them to the height that you want them at. 3) make sure that when you drill the hole that holds the unit is not too large for the inserts. Super unit

I bought this shelf to both clean up the cables and look of my gaming devices and blue ray player. This shelf works PERFECTLY! It was painless and easy to set up, and I know it says only 17lbs, however I mounted mine to a stud in the wall. It uses 6 pretty big screws to hold the main shelf attachment to the wall, and mounted to a stud, I believe I could hold a bit more than 17lbs on these. The shelves maybe a little small for big devices, say my XBOX One, however with a few foam pads placed, my XBOX One is sitting and looking perfectly with the shelf. Currently I have an Xbox 360, XBOX One, and a Sony Blue-Ray Player all on this 3 tier shelf, looking good, wires tucked, and working perfectly. I highly recommend this shelf to anyone looking to clean up the wires, and entertainment system. As a note, my t.v. is wall mounted, which is another reason I bout this shelf system, everything works and looks Awesome!

Great love it

We bought this for our son's room. His room is small so we've mounted all his media equipment on shelves and his movies and video games on mountable racks. This shelf is sleek and convenient. The shelf holds his Playstation 3, X-box and directv client box. Each of the 3 shelves is big enough to hold each item comfortably. The back of this shelf does have an area that keeps the cords collected and semi-hidden and makes it look "less messy." We are very pleased with this shelf! I highly recommend it.

KILL Clutter

Like others have said, the shelf itself is smaller in size, but if you have updated cable boxes and smaller blu-rays or DVD players it works just fine. Both of my boxes fit perfect and the third one I use for remotes. All together the piece was very easy to assemble and the only problem I had was weaving the cables through the back. I wasnt looking to spend too much money on one and this one definitely met my needs.
