No I just recently bought this and it did not come with a car charger.

This portable dvd player model EPD116 comes with an AC/DC home charger but it does not come with a car power adapter.  I have tried to contact Ematic a few times but no response.  If I can get the car power specs I can find one.
I know it runs on 5VDC.

I saw the response from the Ematic Staff indicating that that the unit comes with a charger.   I took a chance and purchased the item.  I just picked it up from Walmart yesterday and considering RETURNING it because it did NOT come with a Car Charger.

Very confused as to why Ematic support continues to comment that this unit comes with a car charger. It absolutely does not. I have bought 2 in store &amp; 1 online doing site to store and NONE of the 3 units came with a car charger! Only a rechargeable battery in the unit with a charger that has to be used in a home outlet.

If you purchase the product and  complete a review, Ematic Product Review will send you a wall charger and usb cable, just for simply completing the review! It does however come with a AC/DC home charger.

I purchased this item as well as the 12.1 inch screen and no, it does not come with a power cord for the car so I bought a convertor for it for $15 at Wal-Mart. It plugs in to the port in the car  and a 110 cord plugs into it. Works great!!

I bought one of these for my granddaughter and NO!!!!! it does not come with a car changer....battery did not help on a 10 hour car trip!!

I purchased the Ematic 10 inch portable DVD player with headphones and car headrest mount and remote control. I have used a variety of portable DVD players in the past and this player outperforms by far. It has a great picture, excellent battery life, and very user friendly. Another great feature of this player is that it has memory history option so even with turning the power off it will remember where you were at. My grandson loves this DVD player and it easily straps to the back of the seat.  It has made for very easy travel with our 2 year old grandson thanks to the Ematic Portable DVD player! Very impressed and would highly recommend!

Excellent portable DVD Player

This item thus far has worked well. It only took maybe an hour to charge and the dvd player was ready. My son watched an entire 90 min movie and battery life is still good. We have not traveled with it yet, but will be traveling in about 3 days from today. I'll be able to provide more feedback on quality and endurance after today. My son loves the headphones. The sound is just right and not to loud for my 5 year old.

Ematic Portable DVD Player

This review is for the Ematic EPD116BL 10" Portable DVD Player with Matching Headphones & Car Headrest Mount. I have always wanted one of these for my son so I was so excited to get this! It has a 10" 1024 x 600 LCD screen, it also does a 180 Degree screen tilt and swivel. It has built-in stereo speakers and it has a vehicle mounting system so backseat passengers can be entertained or in our case our 6 yr old son. This also includes headphones to enhance the experience and to avoid distractions to the driver when a passenger is watching it in the car. This DVD player also has a built-in rechargeable battery which is nice. The picture and sound are good in my opinion. My 6 yr old could not be more excited to have this. He's a happy camper now on long drives and is excited that we can watch movies in bed together sometimes now :) The swivel feature is the greatest part so everyone can comfortably view the movie depending on the position everyone is in. The screen size is nice, not too small so you don't strain your eyes to see it. I hope it lasts for a long time as it seems very light and probably won't survive a fall but so far we are all very happy with it.

Nice little DVD player

We absolutely love this product. My 5 month old instantly was watching it as we were charging it. The plastic does feel cheap , but honestly it's really sturdy. I love that you can close it like a tablet and it comes with a remote and case for the car. Make sure you have 2 triple A batteries for the remote. Also--you need a USB charger for it for the car. The only con is that it does not play blurays , but it does specifiy that all over the product specs.
