The air release valve control setting should be loose when you starts pumping OR you will saying," pumped until my arm almost fell off". I purchased 4 , I used for my vegetable garden. Good luck all.

Grease all the fittings and only HAND TIGHTEN
Forget the Negative reviews please. this 2 gallon tank is robust and built to handle bugs and weeds. upon arrival, and packaged well, we removed all the screw on's. we also removed the nozzle spray end. all the washers, "O" rings got a liberal coat of petroleum jelly. HAND TIGHTEN, and then not even too much torque on the fittings, pump up the sprayer a bit. soapy water the fittings. then go work. our two gallon consistently works perfect and will now order two One gallon Eliminator tanks.
Makes for easier weeding.
This 2 gallon sprayer bottle is really a good product. the red handle has a couple of notches so the wand can be pushed into them for storage. The end of the spray nozzle instead of the usual 2 functions like ""spray"" or ""jet"" this one has 4! Im so happy i bought 2 of these bottles because i have a lot of weeds and brush to kill every year. This is the best 2 gallon sprayer i have owned and i have owned several different brands over the years. The only tricky bit is getting the handle to screw back in to close it
i ordered 2 of these sprayers---one of them works really great---the other one doesn't work at all---will be returning it when this covid19 is gone---i really like the size because it makes it easy to carry around and i would have given 5 stars if the other one worked---not happy about that
Pump is horrible.
The pump totally sucks at pressurizing the tank for sparying. Luckily I had an old pump from a different brand and the threads were the same and I could use the gasket. After that change it works great. But if you don't have a better pump kicking around don't bother.
