The Elgato straight out of the box comes with the following cables:
1 - HDMI Cable
1 - Component to AV Cable. (Mainly used for the PS3. Plugs into the Component/RCA input on the PS3 and then into the AV port on the Elgato.)
1 - AV/Component Adapter (Can be used with the Xbox or Playstation, is used to Plug into the AV port on the Elgato and has Female Component Cord Adapters at the end so that if you have a normal component cable you can plus it in directly, best used if you have a headset such as turtle beaches that use the RCA Audio adapters to listen to game sound. Component Cable is the one with the Blue, Green, Red video inputs then the Red and White Audio inputs.
1 - USB Cable used to Plug the elgato into your PC/Mac, which software and hardware is compatible with both Operating Systems. The device is USB powered so no need for a Wall Adapter to power the Elgato.

yes with internal computer mic or other input mic, did not use but i see has capablity of mic, software is of the best on the market well design and easy to understand.

The Elgato Software comes with the option to Record Live Commentary. All you have to do is select the Microphone you wish to record with press the button to allow the mic to be turned on in the software. And then you are good to go. You also have the ability to adjust the volume levels of the Mic and Game sound so that if the game sound is too loud and your mic is too low, you can adjust it so that you can hear your mic along with game sound but so that one is not over powering the other.

Nah it doesn't! Only 720p!

Still worth getting though! You can't get 1080p on ps3 as there is a hdmi block that allows you not to record through hdmi!

User friendly, great picture quality. Would def. recommend. If I had to give a negative it would be that the video editing that the program does is limited. Still a great product.

I didn't even know it when I bought this capture device that is also is setup for super easy streaming to youtu and twitch. If you are trying to record gameplay, or trying to stream, this thing is awesome.

Though there are cheaper options in regards to external capture cards, you get what you pay for. The video quality is fantastic even without playing with the settings, and having the immediate playback on your computer is very handy. So even though I have only had this product for a week: I would absolutely recommend it!

Great for casual streaming; quality is superb on both ends. One thing to note is that quality is set low by default so some setup is required before you start.

The default video editing software is rather strange in that it will store two copies of any video saved. To completely remove a video, either open the recording log manually or use the software to delete it.

The PS3 cable connection can be used to connect both a PS3 and any other HD console to one input, making it a convenient way to manage consoles and connect multiple consoles to one television.

Excellent Passthrough device.

The hd capture has a 2-3 second delay to the pc(obs) which makes it extremely difficult to sync mic audio with the game feed during live streams.  If you won't be doing live commentaryduring broadcasting and recording this is perfect but anything else won't come out right
