Complete and safe Emergency Brake Function for Any Vehicle While the use of a parking brake, or emergency brake as some people refer to them as, has been in use for over 100 years of automobile production now, when it comes to custom vehicles that have been modified it isn’t often easy to incorporate usable parking brake functionality. For some vehicles there is little to no room for an under-dash parking brake pedal mount. Same goes for a small car like a ’32 Ford or a T-bucket with a bench seat and trying to utilize some sort of transmission tunnel mounted pull handle. For others it could be the conversion from factory drum brakes to rear disc brakes, or the use of a custom frame, mini-tubbing a car, or any other modifications where the factory cable mounting brackets and cable path may no longer be an option. The solution to all of this? A conversion using our universal electric parking brake kit. Much like the electric parking brake (often called an EPB) found in newer vehicles, the electric parking brake conversion kit features a simple on/off control using a push button to engage and disengage the system. Simple To Use Electric Emergency Brake System with Pushbutton Activation The E-Stopp electric emergency brake system, a NSRA new safety product of the year award winner, uses a pushbutton activated controller to apply and release your disc or drum parking brake setup. This pushbutton visually confirms activation by blinking as the brake is applied or released. The button is a latching type, meaning when you push to activate the button latches, holding the button in. Pushing the button to release the brake unlatches the button, allowing it to be flush with the mounting ring again. While not a physical part of the button, there is a speaker module included that beeps during activation of the pushbutton to audibly denote the application or release of the parking brake system. The button requires a single 7/8-inch hole to be drilled and the button has a detachable cable, allowing the button to be fitted from the front of the panel for a clean look.
