The new EGO POWER+ 16” Chainsaw delivers the power of gas without the noise, fuss, and fumes. This saw’s advanced, high-efficiency brushless motor delivers the equivalent power of a 40CC gas chainsaw that lasts up 130 cuts on a 4x4 (when used with the EGO 2.5Ah 56V ARC Lithium™ battery). The tool-less chain tensioning system allows for fast and easy bar and chain adjustments through independent dials, which are low profile in design and allow for cutting flush to the ground. The 20m/s chain speed allows for clean, efficient cutting and the automatic oiling system keeps the saw lubricated throughout the cutting application. For added control and safety, the saw is equipped with robust metal bucking spikes and kickback break with an easy to see brake position indicator. Another fantastic EGO product

Already owned an EGO leaf blower, with which I am extremely satisfied. Needed a new chain saw so I thought I'd try the EGO Power+ 16" chain saw, particularly because I can use the leaf blower battery with it. Wow! The chain saw is just as powerful as my former gas chain saw. Cuts quickly and smoothly. And it's much less of a hassle starting and maintaining than the gas chain saw. These EGO products are fantastic.

Poor perfomance

I am a little disappointed in the performance of the chainsaw. I needed to take down some areca palms in my yard. I bought the chainsaw specifically to cut out the stumps. The saw just barely cut into the stumps. The performance was so bad, I thought the chain was installed backwards, but it wasn't. I ended up using a reciprocal saw with a pruning blade.

    Not a mixologist

    Had a gas chainsaw prior to this. Every spring I'd take it out and have problems starting due to ethanol issues. I used the “good gas”and still had problems. EGO relieves me of this drama. Never again with mixing gas and having it go bad. Awesome saw!

    Battery over gas is so much better.

    This replaces a gas powered saw and is a great purchase. It cuts easily and the battery charge lasts a long time. I cut up a mesquite tree that was 16” in diameter. Making 20 cuts only used half of the charge. I'm very impressed by the power and ease of use of this saw. Highly recommended.

    Great Chainsaw

    I've had this chainsaw for a week. I used it to cut down a 20-foot fallen limb from a tree in my front yard. I read the manual, added bar and chain oil, then pushed the button, and it started right up. I handled that tree limb just as easily as I did with my old gas-powered 16-inch chainsaw. Plus, the battery charges quickly—just 50 minutes.

    Little Champ

    I've only used the chainsaw a couple times so far, but it is just what I needed. It is lightweight and has plenty of power. The 16" bar is quite nice as most other saws I researched in this price range were shorter and limited in what they could accomplish. If you are looking for a saw to handle most any job, this would be the one. I have put all my gas powered chainsaws in deep six. Goodbye to clogged carburetors and difficult to start chainsaws. This chainsaw is good quality and has great instruction manuals.
