I'm just a guy but love 'em.
This is my first time purchasing curtains so have nothing to compare them to. I live alone in a little log cabin I built and first ordered for just one window. I liked it so much I ordered another set. I got the chocolate brown ones and they go with the decor of my cabin perfectly. And just like described, they ALMOST completely darken the room except for the little light that sneaks in around the edges. So based on what little I know about curtains, I believe they are an excellent value.
I have been looking for a good quality blackout curtain for awhile .. One that actually works and doesn't fall apart when you wash it and doesn't let the sun "leak" through .. This is it ! Love these curtains .. Seriously they do exactly as they are intended .. My husband and I put them up in the middle of the afternoon during the brightest part of the day and it was instantly dark in the house to the point I had to turn the light on to see ! This works great for Saturday mornings when you want to sleep in but couldn't before because the sun shone through the window and woke you up .. also works great when your watching a movie on TV and the sun is trying to peak through the window creating a glare across the screen .. I only have one negative thing to say and that is I wish they came in more color varieties .. You will not regret buying these at all !! I loved them so much I bought 4 sets for the living room and 4 sets for my bedroom !
Love these curtains!
I needed curtains to block out the hot summer sun and these definitely fill the bill. Although not advertised as blackout curtains, they did darken the room very significantly. I did have to press them to get all the wrinkles out even after following the instructions to place them in the dryer with a damp towel, but well worth the effort. They look much more expensive than their very reasonable price. I used 2 panels to cover a 52" window.
Great Drapes for the Price
We just moved into a New house and wanted an economical way to cover the many windows we have this was a Great choice. The instructions with the drapes, recommend "to remove winkles, put in dryer with a damp cloth" No Way...did that ...of course, they did not. Therefore, I had to Iron them with the steam iron. Now they look great. Wonderful quality.
Love the way they look
The only issue I have is that they are really wrinkly at first. At this point I needed them up and haven't had time to fix the wrinkles. Even with the wrinkles I love them. They open easily and block out a ton of light! I bought black ones to have a totally different look in our new home. I was unsure when I ordered them but once they were up in the great room I fell in love with them. I would get the longer ones because you can always hem them up but you can't make them longer if they are to short!!
Good for the cost
Blackout quality is good, however material not as thick as higher priced panels. Material has a slight shine. Ordered Black, grommets are almost black and backing is white. Purchased 6 panels for son's bedroom at his fraternity house, so didn't want to pay much. Not hung yet, but held them up to full Florida sun and seemed to block light. Still have the wrinkles to deal with. CON: Not all panels measured 63". 3 of 6 were 1/2" short. For our use, it's not worth the hassle of returning. Ordered a set of 4 and a set of 2, priced lower than individual panels.
I purchased these in the store an online as there were not enough panels in my local store. Of the 10 I purchased, 7 had defects. They were like little pin holes that let light through and it made the black out curtains look cheap and ridiculous. I took them all back and would never purchase this brand again. I had to make several trips back and forth to the store to exchange some and then all of the curtains.
You get what you pay for!
Ordered 12 panels to cover windows/doorwalls for my cottage. These panels out of the packaging contained holes in the back panel allowing light to shine through, at least 5 of these panels had some type of hole in the backing material. New panels looked like horrible because of this.
