My 8 year old loves to bake. Ever since she was a tiny thing, she's always loved playing house. I can remember many times sitting around her Dora the Explorer table set and drinking our early morning coffee from her play tea set :) She is now 8 and we decided to buy her the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven. Our daughter told us, when she first opened her Christmas present, that she was afraid she was going to burn the house down LOL! Of course our daughter told her that she would watch her as she backed so no problem there :) She's already baked her first batch of cookies and told her mom that she wanted to send some to her Papa lol. She did say that the cookies were too small for me and that she would have to send me a thousand of them LOL! Her sisters loved the cookies too and helped her eat them all :) Now she can't wait to bake some more goodies. Another A+ gift from the grandparents, YAY!

She Loves To Bake!
Every great baker began with an Easy-Bake oven.
I bought this gift for my granddaughter's 10th birthday. She is a few years older than most who get this oven, however we had to delay due to the fact that she has a younger sister who would have set fire to the house....still might but we are hoping that now that she is six she MIGHT respect the rules. The 10-year-old was so excited and immediately read the instructions (twice) and proceeded to make the cookie bites. The oven is extremely easy to use and clean-up is a snap.
My granddaughter loves it...
I bought it for my granddaughters birthday gift and she loves it always making something with the assistance from her mom, it makes mother and daughter time fun.. This is the second one I got... The first one I got for my older granddaughter over a year ago and she loves hers too so far we had not had any problems with it it seems reliable and worth the money...
Daughter loves it!
My daughter loved hearing about my easy bake oven and all the "delicious" treats I expected my family to eat. She used her own saved money to buy her own. This model is way more modern than mine was. We both wish it actually had a working timer, though. My daughter is always a fast yes if I suggest using it. We even make our own gluten free recipes. Cookies are truly yum, pizza was tasty, now we're going to try soft pretzel.
Too long to heat up
Got this for my 6yr old granddaughter. She loved the color. The one main complaint is it takes 20 min to warm up to get ready for use and for a 6yr old that is too long and it would have been nice if it came with 2 different types of pans instead of 1 cause it is hard to find and buy other pans. She has enjoyed using it and it is a fun family time and it teaches her about kitchen prep and cleanup. Since the mixes are expensive my daughter goes on line for easy bake oven recipes.
My daughter just got it for Christmas yesterday! She wanted to bake with it right away. She decided to make the cookies in it first. We followed the directions and at first the cookie mix was way too dry so I added a little bit of more water. I am guessing that was a bad idea because once we made the cookies (for the amount of time it said) they were so doughy and tasted not very good. We have to work with it a little more. I remember when I was a kid and had one of these it was the best thing ever! They have changed a bit but so has everything else.
Updated version of a favorite childhood toy
I love that this oven is targeted to a unisex audience so my nephews can enjoy too. If you are buying this as a Christmas surprise, I recommend also purchasing a refill package. It doesn't come with very much especially if there is more than one child involved. My 6 year old niece loved that she could do all of it herself with little supervision. At the end of the day, it was my favorite as a child and now it is hers as well.
One time use
I was so excited to buy theis for my daughter for her birthday. When it was delivered I realized that it only came with one mix! And you want more they're hard to find and cost fortune for next to nothing. Even worse, the mix we did get was terrible. We followed the instruction exactly and they didn't even resemble cookies and they weren't fully cooked. Don't they test their products?
I had to return this item because Walmart had it delivered with no box. Second item from this order that was on my porch unwrapped or boxed. My grand daughter seen it and now I can't possibly have santa deliver it. I will not order from Walmart again. Not only will my granddaughter not be getting an item she wanted from Santa I had to explain why it was delivered. I have never seen anything like this from a company.
Difficult to use.
The oven did not warm up easily and the food never came out looking cooked and certainly nothing was ever going to look like any of the package pictures. It was not worth the 10.00 when I bought a regular easy bake oven for my daughter 15 years ago and the same is with the 40.00 Ultimate easy bake oven. There is nothing ultimate about it.
