Pleased to see it worked..

I've used this once so far on a business trip to Germany. I packed two dress pants and about half a dozen shirts into it - it looked like it could hold more without trouble. The folding guide worked great; all my shirts and pants were uniformly folded and fit nicely into the Pack-It. Upon arrival, I was happy to see that all my items were in a condition that they could be worn without touch up ironing - which was a bonus because the hotel we use does not provide an iron in the room like most American hotels. I think that the uniform folding helps keep clothing in good shape because otherwise there always seems to be an inch or two that pokes out from a stack of shirts and then gets extra wrinkled when you squash more items into the suitcase. I also think it helped me pack a bit more compactly because I was able to tightly bundle the items when I closed the flaps of the Pack-It; then I could just drop it into the suitcase and not worry about keeping that bunch of clothing snugly in place as I added other items. This will be staple for my future trips.

Undecided as of yet but a pretty solid start

I tested the Garment Bag on a weekend trip. Basically, I packed seven shirts and left them in the bag, in my pack, for the entire weekend. I made sure to include different types of shirts: winter flannel and summer sport shirts, long and short sleeves, t-shirts and button downs, 100% cotton, 70/30 Cotton/Poly mix, as well as 100% polyester. After two days, I opened it up and checked the results. Some wrinkles were very evident and I was slightly disappointed in the results. However, I am under the impression, after watching a video or two, that I may need to pack them a bit tighter in the bag to avoid these issues. I think plenty of compression, along with careful folding, is the key to good results. Generally speaking, I like the product and I think it is helpful in keeping shirts from wrinkling while traveling. I look forward to my next international trip to test it again!

Don't Leave Home Without These

We have used these folders multiple times in the past. We just got back from a 3-week trip to northern Europe. Four of the medium size Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter™ Folders fit perfectly in our 24" suitcases. When you pack your clothes snuggly in these folders, your clothes don't shift in the suitcase and therefore do not get wrinkled. These folders also act as a compressor--the more tightly you pull the wings, the more compressed your clothes become. I had a lot of clothing in my 24" suitcase. In fact, I did not wear 9 tops and two pairs of pants. Part of our trip I just threw the four folders in a closet and picked clothes easily out of them everyday. My husband and I both LOVE these folders. When traveling, we never leave home without them. As a matter of fact, we need to buy two more!

Traveling light and looking good

I bought this pack-it garment folder to replace the Eaglecreek pack-it folder that I bought more than 15 years ago. I have traveled over a million miles with that folder and it is finally starting to warp a little. For me, the new garment folder is a nice improvement because it is about half the weight of the version that I was using before. When I travel every ounce counts, so lighter is better, as long as the product holds up. This product is a winner. My friends laugh when they see the way that I pack, but at the end of a 2-week trip, I am the one who is smiling. I pack light and an am able to pull my suit out my bag without wrinkles. This one is a winner.

poor design of folding board

I made the switch from regular pack it folders to the specter to save weight. Unfortunately, the folding board for the specter is actually heavier than the original, with a thick binding on the edges that make it drag on the fabric as you pull it out of whatever you're folding. Also, with the board my M specter folder weighs 9.9 oz according to my Postal Service scale, not 8.0 oz. If I replace the specter board with my old pack it folder board, I can get the weight down to 8.6oz, plus I get the better board. However, this seems a silly exercise. If EC would replace the specter board with the old one, or even a lighter weight, smooth one, this would be a much better product.

A superbly designed and functional product

My wife and I have been traveling internationally since about 1985 to about everywhere except Antarctica and Siberia. We decided to replace the "internal" bags that we use to sort out clothing in our suit cases of duffel bags, as the case may. We are delighted with the offerings from Eagle Creek. The fabric is very strong and amazingly light. There is no space wasted on the bags of superfluous padding. The design allow one to pack loosely or to compress the garments for extra space. Too often inserts take up too much space, but not these. We bought two colors so we do not confuse our bags.

Design flaw

I was very excited to start using my lighter folder. I have been using my original folders for over 8 years and was looking for something lighter. However after I packed the folder with clothing, I noticed the hook side of the velcro was exposed verses the loop side. The velcro hook side is what attaches to what ever comes in contact with it. You guess it...the exposed velcro hooks were snagging on everything it came in contact with. This has to be a design flaw! which i hope eagle creek corrects if they get enough complaints. btw my original folder is designed so that the velcro hooks are not exposed after the folder is closed.

Quick selection before lights out 2!

I am a Kids' Camp Cabin leader and stayed in a small lakeside cabin with 8 little girls and another co-leader. This Pack-It Specter enabled me to quickly identify (I used two...one in Flame Orange!) my T-shirts, jackets and pants quickly before lights out. No digging through my bag trying to find my pieces. So appreciated having this organizational tool!

I am just using the Specter products. I used Eagle Creek ba

This is an ultra lightweight product that really keeps your packable items organized and less wrinkled.

I just bought another one. It is the only way to travel.

I bought "Pack-It" for a trip around Italy with stops in several hotels. My clothes stayed perfect folded and it is easy to handle. I put the entire pack in the dresser drawes and then put it back in my suit case with ease. It made traveling a breeze. I now use it on over night or weekend trips. I just bought another on for my husband. It keeps his sweaters perfectly folded. There is NO down side. I have told all my children and my friends about "Pack It" I recommend this "Pack It" to everyone.
