Apply a second, thinner coat wider than the first feathering edges outward. Let dry and sand smooth. Repairing Cracks. 1. Slightly open up crack to a width of 1/8” and fill with ready mix or any setting compound. Let compound dry to manufacturer's instructions. 2. Clean and sand surface. Apply joint tape to the repair area; overlapping the end of each crack by 1” or more. 3. Spread compound down the crack, working it through the mesh. Let dry and sand smooth. 4. For a finished appearance, apply a second, thinner coat wider than the first. Let dry and smooth. Patching Holes. 1. Clean and sand surface. 2. Great item at a great price
I've never used this before. I've always used the paper type tape. Well after buying this one I don't think I'll ever buy the paper kind again. This one is much easier to handle and work with. It's sticky, so it sticks exactly where you need it to. I just liked it way better.
