About This Item

We aim to show you accurate product information. Manufacturers, suppliers and others provide what you see here, and we have not verified it.
The Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpener is the first knife sharpener designed to sharpen every knife you own. Using flexible abrasive belts, the sharpener is able to sharpen not just straight bladed knives, but also curved knives, tanto blades, filet knives, serrated knives, gut hooks and virtually any other shape of knife blade. The Knife & Tool Sharpener uses precision angle sharpening guides to ensure that you get the proper angle every time. Two guides are included: a 50° guide for hunting and outdoor knives (25° per bevel) and a 40° guide for thinner blades and kitchen knives (20° per bevel). This combination of flexible belts and precision guides lets you sharpen your blade to hair popping results with speed, ease and repeatability. This is the fastest and easiest way to get your knives as sharp as you need them to be. Stop tolerating dull knives and time consuming sharpening methods! Professional knife makers use flexible belts to put a razor sharp edge on their blades, and now you can have the same technology at home to use any time your knives get dull. You may already have other sharpening methods, but never before has a knife sharpener been able to quickly and easily sharpen this broad range of knives to such extremely sharp results. The Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpener is also able to sharpen other common tools including scissors, axes and hatchets, mower blades, garden shears, shovels, and most any tool with a blade. The versatility of the Knife & Tool Sharpener makes it an invaluable tool for keeping all your blades in razor sharp condition and ready whenever you need them. Belts are long lasting, cool cutting engineered abrasives and are size ½” x 12”. Knife Sharpener, sharpener, sharpen, guided sharpener

I bought one at cabellas and it broke the first time i used
it seemed like a great Idea I have been sharpening my knives that way for years but the first time I used it it broke on me and started burning plastic and making a screaming noise I took off the cover and found it was the bearing in the handle for the motor I took it back and got a new one .

Knife and Tool Sharpener

I love this product! It is made in the USA and it is well made. Easy to use and comes with a DVD that explains how to use it in just a few minutes. I sharpened all my kitchen knives and they work really well now.

woeks great

I could sharpen knives to perfection before this, but it took a very long time. Now I can do it very quickly and I even think the WorkSharp gets a knife even sharper that I did using the stones and all.

Excellent product

Simple to use. What a difference. You won't be sorry. Well worth the money.

best knife sharpener

have several knife sharpen systems this is best easy to use and super sharp blades! only draw back is belts must be replaced after about 8or 10 knives.

works great

this is just what i needed, works great and easy to use.

You need one

This sharpener will do everything you need of a sharpener. Have used one for 2 years. This one was a gift.

Knife Sharpening for Dummies!

Simple, quick and with great results! The Work Sharp system got my used kitchen knife set (21pc.-20 deg.) and various "well used" pocket and hunting knives (14 total-25deg.) all easily cutting newspaper in under 2 hours. Now to me, they are not razor sharp (able to safely cut facial hair), but plenty sharp enough to shave arm hair! I've used stones, sharpening steels, diamond plates and ceramics in the past, but none gave me the consistent and fast edge results as the WS! Then I tried out the 45 degree scissor sharpening feature. Have 10 cheap well used sets hanging around the shop and house for the past 25 years, 6 very nice and expensive sewing\quilting\fabric sets that my spouse uses daily and 4 kitchen heavy duty bone crunching tools. Some had gotten to the point of not even being usable. Using just the medium 220 belt (same I used on the above 30+ knives), I made just 3 light passes on each edge and...WOW, what a remarkable improvement in effortless cutting and trimming. The edge on the cheaper scissors are better than when new and the quality material and kitchen sets are returned to their new factory cutting abilities...Thanks WS! Overall, the design is very easy to get use to and I can see the sharpening process going even faster for future touch-ups. I can't comment on the long term durability of the sharpener (just got it ), but it runs smooth and quiet and appears to be well made. After 35 Knife, 40 Scissor edges and over 2 hrs. of sharpening, I wore out just one each of the 220 medium grit and 6000 fine grit belts (not bad for total reshaping all of those cutting tools). My main issues in trying to achieve sharp edges in the past 40 years were "extreme time spent" and "keeping consistent angles". The WS cures both and currently, receives high recommendations from me!!

UNBELIEVABLE!

SHOCKED !!!! CAN NOT BELIEVE IT DOES WHAT THEY SAY!!! AS I AM WRITING THIS, I 'M LOOK AT MY LEFT ARM AT ALL THE PATCHES OF MISSING HAIR!!!!!!!!!! IT MADE ALL MY KITCHEN AND HUNTING KNIVES "RAZOR SHARP"!!! I JUST BOUGHT EXTRA STIPS !!! A MUST BUY!!! THROW ALL THE OTHER IN THE GARBAGE! EASY AND SIMPLE TO USE! I CAN NOT RAT AND RAVE MORE!!!!

Reasonable, not great

First, this is no reflection on Walmart. The sharpener was as advertised. The shipping time was more than fine. As far as the sharpener goes, the one I bought must have been the first generation model. It does work. But, and there is always a "but" I was somewhat disappointed in the overall operation of the unit. The motor bogs down if any pressure is applied. There is no way one could sharpen a lawnmower blade with this sharpener. It will sharpen a knife that started out reasonably sharp in the first place. Think of it as a more expensive chefs steel.

1. The belts last an average of 25-50 sharpenings per belt, approximately 100-200 total with the set that comes with the machine. This varies depending on how damaged the blades are, and what steel they are made of. I hope that helps!
