The plant may grow out of, and over the ground or climb onto trees using aerial roots. Flowers are ornate and beautiful, and many related species are propagated as ornamentals. They bloom only at night, and usually last just one night where pollination is necessary to set fruit. In full production, pitahaya plants can have up to 4-6 fruiting cycles per year. The fruit is popular eaten chilled, out of hand. It is also used to flavor drinks and pastries. Unopened flowerbuds are cooked and eaten as vegetables.

Arrived as expected and when expected

Looks like a healthy plant. Repotted and am now just waiting for new growth in the next couple of weeks. It is December, so new growth may take a little while, but have it in a sunny window and have good expectations.
I gave it one star because it arrived early, but dead and out of the dirt. No roots on it, just a cutting thrown in a box with a pot and dirt.

Dragon fruit plant-Poor quality!

These were so small, couldn't believe it. One of them was in such poor condition, it has already died, the other one with a lot of coaxing has started to grow. They were also poorly wrapped, laid down in a box on their side facing each other held together with masking tape, not very professional. I would not buy from this company again.

Would not order f again for several reasons

1. one of 3 plants came broken (NOT FROM PACKAGING EITHER) 2. individually wrapped and not in pots as shown 3. instruction card printed so SMALL it was not readble 4. potted immediately but not responding well 5. Discounted at around $10 per shoot is still way too expensive [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
