I was hesitant to purchase this after checking reviews around the internet but the exorbitant cost of higher quality ones was out of my budget range when I have 8 doors with 16 knobs to do so I can open them. I bought one, knowing if it did't work on my knobs I could return it to Walmart. Thank you Walmart.
For some reason I thought there were 2 in the package to do one door but there was only one and when I checked, one it was. I tried all knobs to see if it would fit. If the knob was an older one that had a flat surface, it was too big on the side that was nearest the door and if it was a newer knob that was more rounded, it was the same result. On the one with the flat surface, too big on the inside and on the round knob it only fit tight on the center part of the knob.
I had a hard time doing this but there was no one stronger around so I did it myself. I got a large pair of very SHARP scissors I had just bought and carefully cut it in half being very careful to hold the side holding it very tightly and kept the sides even while cutting. Now I had 2 of these evenly cut. Worked like a charm. It fits the flat surfaced knob and it fits snug to the rounded knob in the center and I can now easily open the doors!!!! Joy, joy, joy! The only can recommend if it is cut evenly into 2 pieces, because only then does it fit the knobs correctly. I think the companies that makes these should do the same and not be focused on overcharging on these because they are considered medical items.
