Into The Heart of Y2K Comes A Nu-Metal Master

As my title suggests, for someone who lived in those days of angsty and pumped up angry teens was Nu-Metal/Aggro (yeah yeah, Metalheads roll their eyes and say Nu-Metal/Aggro is for posers) but those were the days of getting your gear at Hot Topic, dressing in a lot of gym or gothy clothing and having this 'the world sucks but lets party in the asylum anyways' attitude going on. Having crazy, rough or angsty and ready to flatten the town upon provocation was in the characters and fans and those were also the days that anti-heroes were front and center along with X-Men who the cinematographers felt were appropriate for Y2Kers to have a story about people who get them. This album was pretty much a hit in the Y2K world with 'Down With The Sickness' which was also a song played in Queen of the Damned before Lestat's concert took off in the movie. It invokes this thought of misfits, anti-heroes and mentally twisted villains when you hear this album but also people who look pretty hardcore walking onto the set. Either way, it is the first album or one of the first in the new millennium which I'm surprised there isn't a Cyberpunk 2077 quest with a title 'Down With A Sickness' involving either a cyberpsycho or a simple case of infection as they seemed to be going all in on a Y2K vibe. Still, a good album for anyone wanting to get into Nu-Metal or get a taste for it though Millennials would suggest Linkin Park for starters.
