Enough with the negative commentary... Most of what you don't like, you simply did not pay for. This laptop is GOOD... but it isn't a Ferrari. So don't judge it as if it was. For less than $150, you get: - a BRIGHT HD screen... that looks really good ("cheap" tablets/laptops have awful screens). - a 10000MaH battery (just for fun go Google for prices of a 10000MaH battery) - a super light computer (1.5Lbs) - every connecting port needed (USB2, USB3, MicroSD reader, HDMI) - Loud and decent sounding built-in speakers - WiFi and Bluetooth - 4Gigs RAM (low end units tend to have only 2) - Webcam Does it all work well? Yeah! I use this unit daily... light, no frills, super long battery life. Complaining it does not do 10 hours of work is just a rant... drive your car hard and your average 20mpg goes to 10mpg... you going to complain? I am computer savvy, but without much effort, I get a solid 8 hours of USE. If I wanted 10 I could probably get it. The keyboard is decent.. probably the weakest link in the laptop's design. There is much I could say about the mechanics and layout of the keyboard, but suffice to say that it could be better. Touch typing is still workable, nuff said. The 4Gigs of RAM is the real differentiation in this low end market. Try using a laptop with 2Gigs and you will be running out of Memory just opening Google Mail. 4Gigs is the bare minimun (IMHO) in a Windows machine. The internal drive is only 32Gigs, I wish it was 64.. but alas... it is fine. I have my apps installed, all the latest Windows patches, and I have 10Gigs left. I have a 64Gig class 10 MicroSD card ($15) in the slot... problem SOLVED. I have attached screenshots of performance measurements of the drives. The power supply is meager... true. It is only 5V/3A... takes quite a few hours to charge the laptop fully... This was a money saving decision. I am using a 5A power supply now and the re-charge time was cut in half (from 6 to 3 hours). Then again, use unit all day, let it charge at night, there is nothing to really complain about here. The touch pad is very sensitive... but I got used to it and now it does not bother me. But you can disable it, and use a mouse instead. This unit has no fans, fast enough for just about everything but gaming, never locks up, overheats, or acts weirdly. It is a solid recommendation. The screen folds out to basically Flat... 180. A surprising amount of pivoting. To all the whinny buyers, go get an Apple. For $2000 you get your laptop and a lifetime of support at the Apple stores with employees who care about you. If you are shopping for a general purpose laptop, with a 14" screen, it is hard NOT to recommend this one. It is so cheap you can buy 2 and still not break the budget of the next Brand Name laptop. I hope this helps someone... I have bought plenty of "cheap" electronics in the past, and they "feel" cheap (ever used a cheap tablet?). This laptop does not "feel" cheap. It has a decent appearance and structure. It is a GOOD BUY! Have a wonderful day.. may your life be filled with everlasting amazement and wonder. Boredom is a choice. :)

Don't not buy
Horrible. It's not worth buying. I had so many problems with it since I brought it. I got a replacement and it's still doing the same thing. The screen blacks out,it's constantly updating, the keys are slow,it does NOT come with a year of office 365. Waisted money. Will be returning the replacement as well.

It works great

I really love this Laptop, everything about it is great so far, the display is beautiful, I got my one year subscription to Microsoft office, the keys respond well, I hope it stays the same

My review

I haven't really done more than play games on the laptop since I've gotten it. I'm retired now so don't have to do work on it. I'm still getting used to the keyboard but it seems fine. All-in-all I like it quite well however it does seem to run down more quickly than I thought I think 10 hours is it an exaggeration and it is slow to charge even if it's off but I think it's worth the money when you compare it to other similar products that price that much.

More bang for your buck

I like this laptop it does pretty much what it's supposed to do given the affordable price. Although the touchscreen feature only worked twice, certain keys don't work at times, and the storage runs out quickly. This is just my opinion, but overall it's a good deal and investment.

Superb clarity, very light (3.2 lb!). Great price ($179). But.... Returning it after a day of use. Very very slow (1hr to load 70Mb), slow response in general. Mouse not precise, keeps moving about,. Cannot configure the way I like in some applications, which I can in my 15" pc. Really wish it had worked better.

This doesn't have touch screen as advertised. Second you don't get one year subscription to Office. Only 6 months. Also and worst of all when you type the cursor jumps and keeps leaving spaces. Even when I type my short password. I have to redo it several times. I think this one is going back.

glitchy difficult to use

It is el cheapo. the thing I HATE the most is the mouse pad/touch pad. Cant find any options to adjust and it constantly shrinks windows, half screens them, changes text size and repositions the cursor further back in the middle of a sentence... Happened 3 times typing this!!!

Not for inexperienced laptop owners.

Not for beginners and doubt given other reviews and at this price it will meet expectations of more experienced consumers. It comes with no actual start up instructions. Nothing on how to start, how long to charge, how to turn off. It just states"You must log on to your Microsoft account before the start up application can run." with out any help on how to do that. There are currently NO useful U Tube videos to help and if I wasn't trying to help the wife figure it out I'd probably just smash it.

Piece of Junk

Ok so I bought this to play games and one thing I notice that it doesn't type real fast. It types really slow. Also it say it comes with 32GB it doesn't it comes with 29.1GB. Please save money your money not worth it. DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER. I'm returning this piece of junk.
