I love this laptop. This is my second laptop, and this is awesome the Intel Core i3 Processor provides very fast and powerful performance for my Inspiron 15.My laptop is ideal for students like me and i would recommend this laptop to anyone And this laptop is selling out very fastly in my country,Sri Lanka. It is the most-selling laptop in my country. The Quality of the Display is very bright and vivid. The Touchpad is very responsive and the Sound Quality is Superb!Overall the best Value for the Money. You will never go wrong with this laptop.Inspiron 15 is a Spectacular Laptop.Thank you Dell For making a very good laptop like this,Thank You Dell.

Not Good Product

I have inspiron 15 3521.Buy in sep 2013 but in short time screen in problem generate pixels line display on the screen.and process is very slowly work.i5 prcessor but that speed is very slow speed is comparable with core2duo processor.

This product has minimum features

This laptop has a very big drawback it doesn't have HDMI port which is necessary in many place for presentation. The touch pad produces lot of noise, it is very hard to press the buttons. It's appearance is also not that good.

Good machine for the price

I have the cheap model of Inspiron 3521. After I installed the newest drivers very satisfied with it, it is a good machine for the price. I connected it to my 24" Dell monitor with an HDMI cable, so I can use it for photo editing too. Latest Photoshop is running perfectly on it. If you have not much money and aren't a gamer, I can recommend this notebook for you.

My Best Leptop

Good Product Forever!

Pretty packaging, poorly made

I was given the Dell Inspiron as a Christmas gift my senior year of college. At first I loved it and thought it that it was a very fun and stylish comupter. However, a just a couple weeks of use it began to glitch like crazy. The model I was given was not the touchscreen, but the finger-pad sure acted like it should have been. The mouse would frequently get stuck and it would move it's own way, regardless of where I was trying to place it. It would also zoom in and out on its own, and it's always either too sensitive or it won't budge. These things make the computer impossible to use. It's never functioning correctly. There would also be times I would try to use the mouse and the whole computer would freeze and just start to shake. I was hoping there would eventually be an update to rid of all the glitch, but so far none. The only thing I can really say is that this computer is pretty. I'm not sure how the one with touchscreen is, but I am extremely disappointed with this Dell product.

Dell Inspiron 15 (3521 model)

I was linked to this page, but what I have is actually the non-touch version, with Windows 7. This was exactly what I wanted and I happy with this computer. Nice features are a textured surface on the lid and inside surface that does not show smudges as readily. Also it has a 10-key number pad on the keyboard which I have never seen on a laptop and I love. I had not trouble getting it set up and have had no problems connecting various other hardware to it including a USB docking station, external harddrive, and printer. It has a single jack for headphone with microphone because it takes the new type of headset with microphone same as you would use with a smartphone ("4 pin"). I don't have this type so that would be something I need to purchase. However, the built in webcam includes a digital microphone so it works with Skype with no additional hardware needed. Seems fast and powerful enough for my needs so far, but I am mostly just doing word processing and web browsing, and no gaming.

third Dell

This is the third Dell Inspiron that has been purchased in my family and for the most part we are very satisfied with all of them. This latest laptop was purchased for my personal use. I have had it for a short period of time abd an satisfied with the performance of it. It has all the features I was looking at and at a price point that I was shopping. I have one complaint on the design and that is where the power adapter plugs into the laptop. It is a straight plug out the side to the rear of the laptop. it seems to be very vunerable to being bumped and broken. moving it to the back, or changing the male plug to a 90 degree would solve this. I have had 2 occasions to contact support and both were positive. I did the upgrade from windows 8.0 to 8.1 and did require some minor assistance with that. After the upgrade I did notice the speaker jack had stopped working. A second call to support had that corrected in short order. While the support was not based in the USA, it still got the job completed

Dell's are very reliable!

I've have an old Dell desktop that is over ten years old now. Still a great computer and I have never had an issue with it. It has lasted longer than any other brand of computer I have previously owned. In fact, my last laptop, which just crashed, would have been a Dell had it not been a gift. I purchased this new Dell laptop to replace it and love the features such as the touch screen and vibrant high def quality of the display. I like the picture password option, also as I feel it is more secure than a password. The only draw back to the computer, and it is not this computer perse', is the Windows 8 program that is installed on all new computers. I upgraded to 8.1 but still dislike it very much. I have heard that 8.2 is supposed to come out in June and be improved. I certainly hope so. I've had Windows 8.1 for about a month and don't like it (I was told once I got used to it I would love it-still don't). Not very user friendly. But as for the Dell computer itself-I love it!

Good for price

I bought this for college and since I was on a budget, I settled for this laptop and so far it has been great. I don't always enjoy Windows 8 because it can get confusing, but I so far have been able to figure most of it out. I think this is a great computer for college students who are looking for a computer to do homework and have extra features such as Skype. I really enjoy that I am able to run two programs at the same time in my window, which allows me to type on Word, while messaging friends on facebook. I really like the use of a touch screen, and it is always on spot to where I touched. Worth the extra $100! I did run into an issue with lagging on the keyboard, but I discovered that while in Power-Saving mode that this could happen. Changed that, and since then it has been working great. The only issue I would have does not have to do with the laptop itself, but more so with the OS. I assume that in the future updates will clear up little bugs which I have noticed.
