Unable To Change Brightness

Hi, It was has been around 3 weeks since I bought my Dell Inspiron and since the past week, I'm unable to change the brightness of my laptop. I didn't know if it was a hardware problem or because of the windows update. So I waited till the next Window update, that is today. I still cannot change the brightness, making me feel like it probably doesn't have anything to do with the windows update. I have updated all the drivers mentioned in the supportAssist, restarted my laptop countless number of times but to no avail. To add in a little more detail, the brightness increases by (a very) small amount when I plug it in. It also kind of fluctuates when it is close to 10% Please help me out with this. It is hampering my daily work and I want it to be fixed asap. Thank you very much.

Myeh... not impressed.

Out of the box, the machine had a smart presentable appearance, and the rubberized coating seemed to be a nice touch. After reading all of the reviews on the machine, I was initially aprehensive of purchasing this specific model. Since I believed most of the negative reviews related to the hardware to be due to not installing updates before use, I was confident that I would fair better than they. So, I commenced to installing all of the updates available. The OS, the chipset drivers, BIOS updates, the full gamut. After 2 nights of running installs and updates on the system, I was finally able to use the 5577, and find out if I had made a wise purchase. I've now been using the system for 4 days and, the speed is nowhere close to what I expected based on the hardware inside. Although, I'm not dissatisfied, I am only 4 days into use. As with all PCs, I expect performance will decrease overtime which does not give me a warm and fuzzy considering where this one starts.

Why Are Newer Computers Less Superior To Older Systems????

I Bought This Dell GAMING Computer (i7 HQ Processor) After My Old Inspiron Just Died out of the Blue with no warning. Upon 1st use, I noticed that its still Just as slow as My last Dell Inspiron and even in some cases, slower. I've always had luck with HP systems, I've Owned 3 HP PC's with My 1st ever being from 2008 and It still works (and surprisingly faster than My new and Newest and Of course this slow Dell). So, In summary, I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with this PC. Also, being forced to have Windows 10 adds to the frustration, Windows 10 Sucks and I hate it with a passion. I'm currently working on getting windows 7.

Apps and services sometimes freeze the laptop.

I have a laptop that used 512GB SSD as OS and 32 GB of RAM and even then there are sometimes where the apps just stop working to the point that windows explorer has to be restarted and the current app closed.

excellent laptop

extremely fast in all aspects, very very happy with the price of this beast compared to its counterparts that were easily $300 more for the same amount of ram and GPU

awesome till now

till now its experience is outstanding...don't now about the future.. Thanks DELL for giving me a special partner for STARTUP and programming...

Satisfied by my choice, I expected better

I was looking for a laptop able to run some heavy scripts of mine, and occasionally some games. I like it so far, it's fast, it has good graphics, and does its job. Haven't run my heaviest jobs on it yet, but with its specs should not have any problem. What disappointed me: When I received it, I realized pretty soon that the speakers made a loud cracking noise. The noise stayed when plugging my headphones , so I investigated the issue further. Turns out this is a known problem with several Dells models, I had to uninstall the Realtek drivers and install the native Windows 10 ones. Although the speakers are not as powerful now, there is no noise. It took me two unpleasant hours to figure it out, considering that sending the laptop back would have delayed my work. Not what you'd like to happen on first starting your brand-new machine. Having a known software issue on a laptop of this price class was quite disappointing, and left me with a bitter aftertaste. Other than that, I'm happy so far (owned it for less than a month)

its good

its expensive but the build quality is so poor the sound quality is average and cracking .the display is good probabily . the keypad is good
