THE RIGHT CHOICE, INDEED!
I had been using a 15" Dell XP Laptop that my husband gave me free reign to when I was without my own for a time. (I had learned the hard way that laptops don't like even a few drops of cappuccino...a difficult lesson!) I was determined to take my time and make a wise decision. I really liked the color I got from both my Dell desktop and that laptop, plus I grew very comfortable with the feel of the 15" rather than the 17" with which I'd shared my English Toffee. I work a lot with pictures, so color is of prime importance, and I came to Dell with very specific requests based on discussions with a highly respected friend/computer tech and my own requirements. The Virtual Assistant "walked" me through, answered all my questions, plus some I didn't know to ask. It was a good experience, and I was thrilled when my computer came even sooner than the expected date!

Terrible Computer
Dell Inspiron 15 5567 originally purchased Dec 2016. I usually have good luck with Dell products, but this computer has been an absolute piece of junk since day 1. I had to return original due to all problems and am now using a replacement (same model) which is just as bad. Constantly get Not Responding messages when using any software. Takes a good 5 minutes to open programs like Outlook or Word. Have to click and wait for everything - even simply opening a picture. Most frustrating computer experience. It froze up twice (actually 3 times (make it 4 times)) while simply typing this message (see attached photos - two are from while I was writing this review). My old Windows XP laptop was faster and more reliable. I'll never buy an Inspiron again. Can't even get Dell Help and Support app to work without crashing. And it is not user error - I run all updates from Microsoft and Dell and use software to clean and optimize system. I have other laptops around the same age that work. This Inspiron does not. Took me about 30 min to write review due to slow computer and not responding messages - typical day. Every time I use this computer it is a terrible experience that fries my patience.

Heat And Slow

I purchased 10 days Back. I Am Started To Work On That From The Date Of Purchases. It Runs Slow And I Feel It Produces Heat More Than I Expected. I feel Bad.

Issues with Dell Laptop

1. Battery does not last long - 2. audio: static noise accompanies audio sometimes making listening to music uncomfortable - 3. gets heated quickly and so the fan volume is heard

RECOVERY

We recently just purchased this computer. After doing the initial setup and opening up gmail once, it was then turned off for the weekend. When starting the laptop today it said RECOVERY, saying it was not able to start up correctly. Hit the restart but to have it try again and it took 2-3 times before we could get to the screen to log in. Definitely not satisfied at this point.

freezes up

I just got this laptop a week ago. It freezes up all of the time and I lose my work because of it. I have to "control, alt, delete" just to shut google down. Half of the time I cannot even shut it off and the only way to reset it is to close the lid. (sometimes that takes two times). All of the hammers in the house are now hidden. As the day wears, I usually end up getting out the laptop that I replaced this one with..... so upset and not happy with this laptop.
