    So far so good

When I forked over $42 for a 500 watt amp, I expected this little blue box to go up in smoke the second I cranked it. So far (3 weeks) it has been surprisingly reliable. The only complaint I can come up with is that it is WAY overrated in terms of power. The owners manual says it can put out 150 watts bridged at 4 ohms. I measured it with a multimeter and test tones. Even with cooling fans added it can only put out about 100 watts bridged at 4 ohms before beginning to overheat. The manual doesn't specify if it is 2 ohm stable, and I don't want to push it. If you want a true 500 watts for a sub, get a good quality class D amp. If you just want 80 watts for some cheap bump in your trunk, this is a great option. It does draw about 200 watts peak and generates a lot of heat, so make sure it gets plenty of air.

    great product

Great product for my xplod 6x9's that I also bought from Walmart. Just enough power and bass for me. Probably not the enough of the dumb "superbass" for the kids though. Just great, rich, rumbling bass and very loud too.

I think they rounded UP on the watt rating on this amp. I would say 400 watts MAX. If you are looking for an amp that makes bass you can feel, look else where, but if you are looking for an amp with bass you can hear. This amp maybe for you. This amp works for me because its smaller and fits better in my tight space and I don't have to worry about sounding like a punk with the bass turned all the way up.

Decent little amp for the money

I don't think it really puts out 500 watts, but I was expecting that. It might... but with my subwoofers, they seemed to hit harder with my old Pioneer 400 watt single out (specifically made for a subwoofer) amplifer. That amp just died and I haven't had any bass in my car in probably 6 months. I am a little down on money right now, so I bought this! I will tell you that I'm soooo happy to have some sound in my car!!! I was missing my bass so bad. Note on this: I don't try to rattle other people's windows or create earthquakes. This amp certainly will not do that. But, this will do a whole lot better than factory!

    What a let down

This amp is bad. Plain and simple. Audio quality when playing full (bass and voice) is so bad particularly the voice. It looks like it has good power though but it lacks in audio quality. So I do not recommend this product. Its cheap but believe me you get less then what you pay for on this one. Hope this helps.
