    For an adult?

I'm a 145lb 24-year-old with a tiny room. I bought this bed for myself. It was really hard to find reviews from adults that use loft beds. I'm still not sure how to rate this yet, because it is certainly does not feel as sturdy as others with 7yr-olds made it seem (no surprise there). However, it's been over a week and I have not crashed to the floor yet. As for the actual structure, it was relatively easy to set up--but one of the metal poles had a pre-made hole that was just off-centered enough for the screw to not go in all the way and screw in the other 3. Very cheap parts. I prob. should have gotten a replacement but read horror stories of them taking forever to come in. And yes, the worst part of the bed is the ladder rungs! I think the bed tripled the size of my room! A lot can fit under it--even taller dressers. I think this bed was worth every penny--but not a penny more. It's hard to know what bed to choose without being able to test them out and compare first. Not sure if I recommend it or not, but I hope this helps!

    Love it!!

After a lot of research, I finally decided on this bed for my 4 year old daughter. She loves her "Big Girl" bed. When searching for a bed, I knew I wanted space under the bed for her to play due to her room isnt the biggest and not a lot of space. I bought this one hoping it would work and it did!! Although, I had to have it cut down a little due to it being so tall and her a little scared of heights (if you have the same problem make sure to cut it with a pipe cutter nothing else due to the material)! Since it has been made shorter she loves it. She is able to sleep on the top and able to play underneath. I was also able to put storage shelves under the bed for her toys to go in as well. I could not ask for a better bed that saves money and space! I would recommend this to others and also have already recommended it to family that is getting ready to buy their children a few as well!!! You wont be sorry!!

    Bed For An Adult?

I bought this for myself (I'm in my 20s). I got the 'silver', but it's definitely more a gun metal grey. The directions were easy enough to follow to put together, and I had this up by myself in about an hour. I noticed though that once I put it up, there was some imperfections on the metal. There were a couple knicks and rust looking spots. Like everyone else is basically saying on here as well, the ladder you climb is to be desired. It hurts your feet pretty bad, so I'll have to find a way to fix that. Bed itself is fine though, held me up great. Helped free up a bunch of space in my small room, and the design of the loft doesn't scream 'little kid' all over it. Overall for the price I paid, I'm content with it.

Great Loft Bunk Bed for Kids

This is a great bunk bed. It was easy to build and is sturdy. The only problem was the metal ladder rungs really were painful climbing up. I solved this by using a pool noodle slicing it length wise and cut to fit the lenght of the bars and then used to duck tape to wrap it tight. It doesnt look bad at all.

    Good with some issues

The frame is exactly as expected. There were some issues with a couple of holes at the bottom being off-center; most of the screws could be somewhat forced in, but one still sticks out. Only complaint I really have is the ladder, which is terribly painful on the feet at first, and some items which can be easy to put on upside down and not realized until too late. So...be careful when assembling. Overall, the bed feels stable enough; it wobbles when I move around a lot, but nothing tries to fall apart. I do enjoy it! Just building is a bit finicky. I found a bookcase beside it works as a perfect bedside table, letting me access the top of the case and the uppermost shelf from bed. (It is the Ameriwood 5-shelf, I believe)

    Sturdy and Comfortable!

My son won't get out of this bed. He is so happy. It is easy to put together. It is very sturdy and looks great in his room. Well worth the money!

    Good Simple Solid Bed

I love how high these beds are. They work perfectly with a work space under them. The instructions are great and the beds were easy to put together. My only advice is to get a 4mm hex screw driver instead of using the little one that comes with the hardware. It saved us a lot of time!

    Right for the price

The bed is sturdy and easy to assemble. My husband had it put together in an hour. I looked at a lot of websites and styles before buying this one. I was afraid it wasn't going to be quality, but it met our expectations. It can easily hold the weight of a teenager or college student.

    Great loft bed for kids

Great loft bed. Bought it for my 10 year old and placed a futon underneath. Pretty easy to assemble but need 2 people for certain portions. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the ladder is very uncomfortable on your feet. The steps are not flat, instead they are round so it really hurts when you step on them with all your body weight. My kids are fine as they have kid feet, but when I have to get up there, it hurts unless Im wearing sneakers. Would be 5 star if the steps were flat. Otherwise, great product. Sturdy and looks great.

Right item for the right price

We bought this for my daughter's dorm room. Arrived a day earlier than expected, which was nice. It was easy to put together, though using the included hex wrench does add to the assembly time. If I had a small powered hex driver or a ratcheting hex driver assembly would have been much quicker, but it was still easy enough. Took about 45 minutes with occasional help from one other person. I bought a pack of foam-rubber pipe insulation at the local home improvement store ($2.00) and cut sections to put over the ladder rungs for padding. Worked great and made using the ladder much more comfortable. This loft worked well for our purpose and was worth the price.
