Works well,good price

This product is a much better product for the price than others I have purchased. This is the 3rd dehumidifier for me in 5 years all different brands. I had a Sears Dehumidifier that was handed down to me from my parents that was about 30 years old and it worked great until we had a flood and that did it in. I have bought 2 other brands and they both died as soon as the warranties ran out and of course it was more to repair them than to buy a new one.I have only owned this one for a short time and so far I like how easy the bucket is to empty the only complaint I have is that it never turns its self off when it reaches the desired humidity level. It has a fan that keeps running and when the humidity goes back up it starts to dehumidifier again. The only way to have it turn off is to set the timer. I did purchase the extended warranty.
Bought this model to replace a dehumidifier that was recalled. I have several small appliances by DeLonghi and really like the brand. The DDSE40 model we had (that got recalled) was considerably smaller, so holding tank was smaller and we had to empty it far more often. This one is larger, so tank is larger, only have to empty it a couple times a day. We've only had this one a couple weeks now, but so far we're realling liking it! And the price through Walmart was better than any other retail outlets for the same model, add in free shipping and it was a no-brainer!

Very Satisfied

Dehumidifier is quiet and easy to use
item was defective; kept beeping and indicated water tank not properly postioned; no matter how many times tank reinserted by several people. Would only work if tank actually held in place. Poor design for lever that is supposed to de-activate alarm. Also, even when compressor shuts off, the fan never stops running

Very Efficient

So easy to use and works great. I am amazed how much water it takes out of the air even in low mode. It's so easy to remove and empty the water container that I haven't hooked up the continuous drain hose yet. Hope they come back in stock as I may get another one !!!!

Performing up to expectations

Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I have only had it for a couple of weeks and I need more time to be sure it continues to perform as well as it has.

Good product

Easy to setup and performs as expected, fills the tank too quickly, so turned on drainage pipe and all works well

Good product but the instructions could be better

The manual is not that great in explaining how to use it and especially on how to set the controls. At first it sucked up the water but not very fast. Than when the humidity was really low, only the fan would run and not collect any water in the container for two days when we could still feel the humidily in our basement. I finually realize that you have to lower the number for the humidity lower than what the humidity setting. Example: It says the humidity of your room is 55. You have to set it below 55 for it to turn on and start collecting water. Boy did we get the water. It works great!!!!!!! What the company needs to do is to provide a video showing how to use their product, maybe include a link to their website so custumers can view how to use their product.
I have only used this for a couple of months, but so far it is working great.

Dehumidifier DD45

I bought this product, and it is in the center of my long hallway. The reason for my ordering this product is because over the years I have been plagued with, "DUST"!!!; however, it is not supposed to capture dust--it's for getting moisture out of the home. There has been many times over the years when talking to someone who is manager of a home cleaning company, and telling them that I have a constant nose drip, and the person (s) casually says 'get a dehumidifier', and I would think to myself, why on earth would someone say this while talking about dust? I would polish all my furniture throughout my home only for a new blanket of dust to be on the furniture the following day. Nose drip, scratching, and I don't know what all. I got this product, took it out of the box, pulled off the tape, and the booklet comes in handy--pretty straight forward, and plugged it in putting it on high. My nose didn't drip, wasn't scratching, and the furniture didn't have a blanket of dust on it. I was amazed, and I was very happy with this product. One other thing, if it is only for taking the moisture out of the air, then why does it have a filter? Anyway, I am very pleased with it; however, it is supposed to alert you with sound, but it has gotten so full of water that I'm afraid it will over-flow. This is why I gave each four stars. When you leave the house you should turn off the unit, or units just to be safe; after all, you would hate to come home with your nice hardwood or carpeting to be puddled with water. It's a great dust and moisture removing unit.
