Highly Recommend

I saw the review on Cook's Country about enamel cast iron casseroles. I have been in the market for one for a long time and was saving my $ for a Le Creuset as that has been the highest standard. But, after watching the review segment, I decided to give it a try and I am TOTALLY impressed. I even bought the 7 qt. Great product and highly recommend!

Not the best out there

Enamel not of high quality and discolored, chips on the outside after light use!

Why didn't I buy one years ago.

My first dutch oven! I wonder why I didn't buy one years ago. It browns meat beautifully and simmers really well, and not just in one part of the contents but all over. It's heavy but as you stir it doesn't move on the stove top so you don't need one hand to hold it still and the other one to stir. You can add ingredients with one hand and stir with the other, no problem. I have made a lot of meals in it during the last month and can't wait to find recipes so I can use it again. It is non stick if you rinse after cooking, if not, put water in and let it soak and food comes right off. The light colored interior hasn't stained yet but if it does I read that Bartenders Friend will take care of it. Yes it is a bit heavy but as I'm in my 7...

    Excellent Dutch oven

Good size for 2-3 people. Cooks evenly. Well designed and not too heavy.
