For some people, the wires on these marble cheese slicers last a long time due to the way they use them. For me, I slice a lot of cheese off of big cheese blocks, so the wire didn't last more than a month. I ordered replacement wires off of Amzaon, and they didn't fit. To look at the ones I bought search "Replacement Wires for Compact Marble Cheese Slicer (Green or White)--Set of 4." They say #GCS & #WMCS on the front and are too long. I then contacted Wayfair, and they could not find replacement wire. Oddly, I think they no longer carry this item for Walmart. Wayfair recommended Cheese slicing dot com, so I ordered the wires they call CW-CMPCT, which are for 5 inch cutting boards and measure 5.75 inches from the tip of one loop to the tip of the other. Unfortunately this is the exact same product sold on Amazon. I then asked Cheese slicing dot com what to try and they recommended their CW NP349R wires. This style of wire did not work out either since it was too short, and the little fat loops at the ends of the wire would not fit down into the slot of the cutter anyway. I'm sure that replacement wires for this board exist somewhere, but I haven't been able to track them down. If anyone can provide a link I will change the rating I've given this product. After all this, I'm probably going to buy a board with a blade.
