To be honest, Cream of Wheat is one of my favorite grocery products to buy. I've been eating it since I was a child.
It's the perfect first food for an infant, since it is easy to eat without choking, easy to digest, and it tastes delicious.
Cream of wheat is very versatile. It can be made from milk and water, or even milk alone (for a creamier texture), and add a little sugar and it's very good for breakfast. you can use various types of extract in it to give itr different flavors. I've tried vanilla, peppermint, almond, and anise, and they all taste great. You can add coco powder to Cream of Wheat to make it chocolatey. You can add any type of jam, jelly, fruit preserve, or fruit pie filling to it to give it different flavors (blueberry is especially good). You can make it like oatmeal and add cinnamon, brown sugar, crasins, raisins, and walnuts or pecans.
You can make muffins (sort of like the Malt-O-Meal Magic Muffins). You can use Cream of Wheat to make pancakes, brownies, and any type of sweet bread (banana bread, sweet corn bread, poppy seed bread, pumpkin bread, etc.) to give it a slightly different texture. For instance, "cornbread" made with Cream of Wheat instead of cornmeal, and a little extra sugar, cooked at a lower temperature for a slightly longer time, will give you a finished product that is like a cream cake.
You can leave the sugar out and add a little salt to Cream of Wheat and use it like polenta. You can even add herbs and/or sugar to savory Cream of Wheat.
