    Cute, sturdy little bridge!
A cute bridge for sure!! My advice when assembling: Take your time. The instructions are a bit vague. When you go to put the slats on the frame, don't screw any down until all slats are placed. This will help you with spacing the slats. Also, take care when tightening the screws, especially with a power drill. The wood is soft and taking the screws past the point of being flush may split the wood. Lastly, wear grubby clothes as some of the stain from the wood did transfer onto my skin and clothing. This project took me just under 2 1/2 hours to build and I would rate myself as an intermediate builder. :)

this is a nightmare- the instructions are really vague, the pieces don't fit together. looks like you have to re drill a lot of screws.

    Perfect for my yard!

This little bridge is quite substantial and strong. A gazillion screws but then that is a good thing. I don't know what all the fuss is in other reviews about it being too small to walk on or not sturdy. I am quite pleased with it. In my yard it spans the river rocks I need for drainage and provides a cute walkway over the rocks.

    Cute

Very nice looking and stain was beautiful. The reason I docked a star was due to some holes being pre drilled but most were not and there are a lot of screws. I also thought if they took time to stain it should have been weatherproofed as well otherwise it defeats the purpose of staining it. Otherwise this is a very cute bridge for outside decor.

After all the work i have done I feel a big accomplishment even though my back hurt like hell at night due to the hard labor

I bought this bridge as a pathway to my patio as well as an element of my Japanese garden.I am a handygirl and I spent a Saturday afternoon putting about handed of wood boards and two handreds of screws together with my power drill including disassembling and reassembling the hand railing due to the mistake(user manual is not that great) which is what I expected with the price I paid for this bridge...no complaints...I have to say it is labor intensive and I had to take couple of breaks because my lower back was hurting especially when building the bridge deck. I also put on a coat of waterguard (which I found surprisingly in my garage last week) to give some protection. After all the work i have done I feel a big accomplishment even though my back hurt like hell at night due to the hard labor. I can proudly tell my neighbors and friends I built the bridge ;). I don't have kids but I think it would be a fun project you do with your kids.So if you are pretty handy and don't mind spending couple of hours put the bridge together, I recommend it because the final product turned out really nice.If you just want a out of box bridge, this is not the one you are looking for. You need to spend more bucks on the one with pre-made deck. What is the saying? You get what you paid for ;)

Good Value for a small largely decorative bridge.

I read all the previous reviews before ordering this item... but still was a bit surprised at how small it actually was. I have installed it across a Japanese style rock stream about 3 feet wide, largely as an ornamental feature. However, it is wide enough for one person to use, and is sturdy enough for adults to cross. I did find it a bit difficult to line up the bolts to attach the side rails to the base supports. Finally had to remove one set of screws from the side rails in order to fit the bolts through, after which I put the screws back in the side rails. I also added a feature I saw on another bridge - I drilled holes in the top of the six posts and installed solar lights - using a set of regular sidewalk type solar lights that I cut the 'legs' off about 2.5" below the lights to insert in the holes I drilled in the tops of the posts. I used a Forstner drill bit to have a clean edged hole with a square bottom. It turned out pretty cute with that addition.
