can the ringer be turned off (not to "low" but completely off)

I love the large buttons and the sound amplification. Have only had one opportunity to talk on it, but it was good. Much better than cell phone.

Good for old folks.

My 87 year old mom needed a phone with large buttons and this is perfect for her. The shape of handset  is better than most because it stays put  in the cradle.  It comes with a short phone line (phone to wall jack) which is fine for a desktop or counter top.

Great little phone

I can finally hear on my phone.  I know cell phones are popular but I can't hear or dial. The numbers on regular phones are too small for me to dial. This phone is perfect for me. I love the big buttons and the fact I can hear the caller. The color matches my decore.

Ordered this phone for my mom, since she finds it difficult to see the buttons on regular telephones, and she loves it! Makes it much easier for her to make her calls.

Excellent desk phone for older people

The large buttons and speed dial memory buttons make it ideal for seniors.  Very affordable and high quality phone.   We have had others that were more expensive and not the same great quality.   I would recommend it for anyone who are visually and hearing impaired.

The phone works well, but there is not a speakerphone function and the programming of phones numbers is a little complicated.

Big button phone review

I liked the large numbers, but the first time I went to dial a number, I was surprised that they 'toggle'.  I just try to push them more in the center, but it would be better if they were more sturdy.  I haven't actually stored any numbers or used any other features....yet.  I have just used it to call out, or answer.  I like the receiver better than the new phones that are flat when you hold them in your hand.  This one may be 'old fashioned' but it is easier to hold in your hand or put on your shoulder to talk with no hands.  I like it.

easy to read

Bought this phone for my elderly dad, it lasted about a month and the buttons stopped working right. Waste of money!

Disappointed with phone

Another "made in china" piece of junk.  90 year old Mother in law wanted large button sand color phone. First one lasted less
than 3 months before the handset hangup button quit working. 
Reviews looked good so I assumed I was just unlucky and ordered another one.  The second one lasted less than 2 months
and failed with the same problem, hangup button quit working.
Wish I could review with less than 1 star.
