Coors Banquet is the result of conviction & tradition – one that can be traced back for more than 140 years, with generations of the family overseeing the brewery. Through thick & thin, we’ve never strayed on our values of hard work, dedication, & the stubborn resolve to brew the best beer we know how. Our commitment to quality is unwavering: from brewing using only 100% Rocky Mountain water & ingredients like high country Moravian barley, to malting in-house to ensure consistency from grain to glass. It’s because of our superior craftsmanship that thirsty miners in the late 1800s affectionately nicknamed us “The Banquet beer” to celebrate coming together at the end of a hard day’s work. Banquet is a sessionable, golden lager with an inviting aroma of freshly baked bread & understated hints of banana & pear. Banquet’s brisk, satisfying flavor, which balances subtle sweetness & malty refreshment, is complemented by an effervescent mouthfeel & a crisp finish. There is a sturdy balance to this American Lager. Coors Banquet is the perfect adult beverage for tailgating, barbeques, fishing & hunting trips, garage tinkering, camping, & outdoor exploring. Pair Coors Banquet with everyday favorite fare - burgers, BBQ, & wings. Available in our classic stubby bottles or buff cans, it's the best session beer to share with friends & family, & perfect for every holiday gathering & occasion. Coors Banquet is a light beer that's refreshing at 5% ABV. Want to learn more about the history & how it’s made? In 1868, Adolph Coors, a German brewing apprentice, headed to America. With courage & conviction, he headed west & refused to rest until he found the perfect water for his beer. He found it flowing through the mining town of Golden, at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Within five years, he founded the Golden Brewery where it still stands today. We've been brewing since before Colorado was a state with generations of family overseeing the same process we started with. We’ve never wavered on our values because we understand that you get what you give. Coors Banquet has always been brewed in one place, making the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado the largest single-site brewery in the world. For over 140 years, there has been no cutting corners, no excuses, only the best beer we can brew. While there may be a simpler method, we stand by our techniques. After all, there's no sense in changing what works so well. We know that malt can make or break the beer so we don’t leave anything to chance. We malt our own barley right here at the brewery. It takes a precise science & a lot of heart & that’s what makes a better beer. We filter the Coors Banquet with Enzinger filters. A slow, traditional technique that requires patience & care. You don’t see them used too often anymore, but we’re sticking with it because character beats speed every time. We only ferment Coors Banquet using the classic technique of closed horizontal box fermentation, which is done at cold temperatures. The process lasts up to 30 days & plays a major role in giving Coors Banquet its distinctive banana characteristic. It's brewed in our classic Huppmann kettles. Couple that with the fact that it’s made on the same site where Adolph Coors started it all, & you can almost taste the history. As the story goes, it was the hardworking miners of Golden who gave our beer its nickname. In the coming years, “The Banquet Beer” would become synonymous with Coors Banquet. For decades, Coors Banquet was only available in 11 states, none of which were in the East. Presidents, celebrities, & everyday folk alike wanted a taste of the West. In 1991, Coors Banquet finally showed up in all 50 states. Did you know, after years of studying the traditional tin can, Bill Coors introduced Coors in a more environmentally friendly aluminum container in 1959?
