Big and Spacious Tv Stand with a Classy Look
This tv stand took a long time to put together but it was worth it. I would say it took me about 6 hours and I had a automatic drill and all the tools necessary. The instructional manual is very helpful but figuring out which item some of the bolts were suppose to go in was a little confusing, and none of the screws were labeled so you really have to know your screws. Once finished the look is amazing and size is absolutely wonderful! It looks like it should be a part of some fancy mansion or hotel. The only really bad pro is it scratches super easily! Once we slid the tv on it the entire top of the item had scratched everywhere from where we moved the tv and its irreversible. For the price it shouldn't scratch like that.
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this item. I think the product is just what I needed, the color was as described, and it didn't take too long to put together, (Considering I'm a 67 year old female, and did it all by myself). And yes, as I had read in the reviews, the glass doors don't match up real well in the center, which I didn't even try to adjust, because I think the cabinet looks great for the price. The space between the doors just lets extra air circulation for the electronics you might put on the shelf, to help keep them from over heating. The only real improvement I could suggest is an adjustable shelf on the right side behind the solid door, which I knew it didn't have when I ordered it. But I installed my own adjustable shelf, which looks as though it came with the cabinet. That's the only reason I gave it a four stars rating.
Waiting for Replacements
Our box arrived with 4 pieces that were damaged: broken pieces and deep scratches. Waiting for the company to contact me re: replacements. If they do send out the replacements, it should be a very nice piece for the value. The glass doors are heavy and the finish is beautiful.
Love the furniture. My only beef is the amount of time it took FEDEX to deliver. The product was not even picked up from Walmart for 3 days. Our estimated arrival date given when we ordered the product was Dec 26th. We did not receive the item until Jan. 2.
Beautiful, but difficult to assemble.
Beautiful piece of furniture. Husband and daughter had some issues putting it together so one of the cabinet doors doesn't close properly (not sure if the issue was with the instructions, the materials, or my husband and daughter's understanding of the instructions).
I was very pleased with the color and the look of the wood. The glass doors and drawer are very nice. One major problem...the holes don't match up when putting it together so it wasn't possible to complete construction. I emailed the company and they are sending replacement pieces. But that was 10 days ago and I am still waiting for the shipment. I think once it gets completely put together it will be a nice piece of furniture for the price.
When I got my TV stand that I had been patiently waiting for, I was super excited. There had been some bad reviews, but several good ones also, so I thought I would give it a try. My husband spent several hours carefully following instructions to assemble this thing. He got to the last couple of steps, which were to attach the doors, and realized the doors have a half inch gap between them when closed! Then when you try to open them, it puts pressure on the strip of wood beside them, and pushes it out. This wear and tear over time spells disaster!! You can't move the brackets in, to prevent this, because of the way the holes are drilled out. When we sat it upright, none of the spaces were even, meaning it isn't square. We have assembled many pieces of budget friendly furniture, mind you that were much cheaper than this, that lined up and came together much better than this piece. It's a beautiful stand...but don't mistake looks for quality. We are returning it. It wouldn't last a month otherwise without something tearing up.
