I am very pleased with these rollers. The other reviews on here really helped me also. They are very hot, so be aware that they did slightly burn my fingers some while trying to wrap. I tried them out one time on my daughters hair before the official day I needed them for. Her hair has a lot of layers, so it was hard for me to get all of her ends wrapped around the rollers. I went to a Beauty store and got some of those paper wraps they use on perms and used those to keep all of the ends together when I wrapped. I used a hairspray to set it also. My daughter has very thick hair, so some of the rollers kept trying to come undone - so I used bobby pins to help hold them together also. This worked great. The curls come out beautiful. The rollers are easy to travel with and store.

I have super long hair, and I loved it. It was very easy. Just wrap your hair around it and secure it and leave for just a few minutes, pull it down and BANG, you have curls. I would def. recommend this to others!

This product is excellent!! I have very long, fine hair and curling irons/regular curlers have never worked with it. This is the only product that has! The curls are perfect and so fast! The only difficulty I had was learning how to use it. It took a few tries, but the result was well worth the effort. I would recommend this product to anyone whose hair does not curl with curling irons. Advice to those buying: use mousse on your hair before using this product and be sure to clean the sticks before putting them back in the case. :)

I have thick, long, wavy hair and I have always wanted to have a curly style I can wear everyday without spending a hour doing it. I started looking online and I found this product. I read the reviews and watched how to use them online. I ordered 2 sets because my hair is so thick which gives me 14 orange ones and 14 pinks ones. When I got my hotsticks I tried them immediately and I absolutely love them! They make my hair really curly and bouncy and they stay all day. I use mouse and thermal protectant. I roll my hair for 5 minutes and have huge curls! I absolutely LOVE these. I would totally suggest buying this product.

    Fantastic Roller Set

I purchased this roller set after viewing a YouTube video on vintage hair styling. I was a bit skeptical as my hair has never curled well (even by professionals), nor held a curl for more than 5 minutes even with tons of product. They had used a hot roller set and curling iron in attempt to get my hair to curl, but alas, I was one of the "curl with curling iron- pin EVERY curl- kinda girls. The HotSticks were easy to put in (after 2/3 practice times), and since I don't have really thick hair, the sticks never popped out. The hardest part is getting the very ends to wrap evenly around the stick, so if you'd like to not burn your fingers, I would try the Perm Papers as someone else suggested. The HotSticks heat up quickly (I use a heat protectant spray before use), and are very hot! I let the curlers set in until they were completely cool. They make wonderful, tight curls that STAY even with minimal product. These can be a great replacement for a PinCurl set if you don't have time to do one. I reccomend these to anyone who asks

How big/small in diameter is it? Does it grab on pretty well to the hair?

    • A. It grabs great but you have to have a little bit of length (2 inches min).

    • A. Small diameter. No large ones. Grabs well enough. I don't find any problems with that. But my hair is long. If you hair is short I don't know.

    • A. I don't know the diameter of the sticks, I remember them being 2 different sizes in the package. I have short/medium hair, and it's fine as well. My hair wrapped around the hot sticks just fine, and they grabbed the hair ok.....just didn't curl my hair. So I returned it. Might work for you if u have better luck with your hair then I do.

    • A. Depending on how short your hair is you may not be happy with results. You may want to use a large roller so your hair doesn't get a really tight curl. However these rollers hold the hair really well and don't fall out.

    • A. I'm not sure of the diameter, I would say the small ones are about 1/2 inch and the larger ones are 1 inch. You can use it on any hair length. I have really fine hair and it really worked great, the only thing that will curl my hair! It does ok with grabbing the hair, better than a regular roller but you do still have to guide it. I will say it is so much easier to use then traditional rollers or curling irons.

    • A. yes, all lengths of hair and all types! Only about 1/2-1 inch in diameter, and the rollers grabs very well, since they are a rubberlike material.

    • A. yes it does work on short/fine hair. that would explain my hair texture. the curls were tighter than I wanted though.. It looked like I had a straw set.

    • A. Especially good for short, fine hair. The rollers are 6 inches long, 7 are 1/2 in diameter, the other 6 are 1/3 in diameter. They do wrap pretty good on the roller, but are hot on your fingers. I wet my fingers before rolling in a curler to keep them from the heat.

    • A. I have above the shoulder hair and I think you would need enough hair to wrap around the curler, so depending on how short?? It is about the diameter of a sharpie or a tube of chapstick??

    • A. The curlers are small. So if you want tight curls it would. I have long hair and it is too tight when I first curl it. But my hair doesn't keep curl very long, so it loosens up in a little bit. Therefore I like it.

    • A. Yes, but I would suggest trying to straighten your hair before you do put the rollers in unless you want waves and curl. Just make sure that you order 2 or 3 with long hair because it will take a lot of the rollers to do long thick hair.

    • A. Are you talking with wet hair and not heating them? You can try since they are flexible, but heating them and then sleeping with them in...I honestly wouldn't recommend it because the sticks work so fast. I mean in less than 15 minutes they're ready to come out. Hope this helps you.
