Thumbs up
Pretty easy to set up. Spacious enough for a queen and a twin, including our cooler and bags. Walls felt wet from inside when it rained, but did not leak inside. Loved the zipper on the top, was able to use my extension cord. We did, thankfully, buy a rain cover!
Top Negative Review
Pray it doesn't rain!
I was so excited to find a tent that isn't a "dome" so I bought this. Setup was super fast, but in the rain this thing is an EPIC FAIL for Coleman. We had moderate rain and this thing leaked like a sieve around the seams and through the fabric itself (see pictures). Water pooled around the entire perimeter. If I hadn't been using a cot, all my gear would have been soaked. Despite my best efforts to pull

Great tent!!!!!

My husband and I do a lot of camping. I have put up and taken down many different tents in all shapes and sizes. The Coleman Instant Tent is the last tent I will ever use. Goes up in a few seconds and comes down in about the same time. I used my tent 2 weeks ago and did not have any problems with it whatsoever. It was a cold night (around 38) and we slept fine and stayed surprisingly warm. I would recommend this tent to anyone who is tired of all you have to go through to put up and take down a tent. This one is amazing. The only negative I can think of is that like most tents the amount of people it will sleep is based on being on the ground in a sleeping bag so if this is the case it will sleep 6 very close together. If you are like us and use an air mattress. It will hold a queen air mattress and a twin air mattress with enough room to get in and out of the tent.

Big Tent, Small Price

Often it costs more to stay in a hotel one night than it does to buy this tent, which we intend to use for years to come (but not at a hotel!) The 6-person is very large inside, with plenty of headroom for my 6'2" husband, plus extra for that handy overhead tent light I forgot to buy (the one held on by magnets - though there is a hook in the center of the tent to hang some other type of light or fan). This is one of the only car-camping tents we found that had inside zip-up window covers, so you could have privacy without using a rainfly. We also bought the rainfly and extra stakes for safety. The plastic flooring is rather crispy sounding as you roll it up. Hopefully it lasts. An extra set of compression straps would help push the air out of the tent after you rolled it up (very airtight, so leave some windows unzipped). There are "compression" straps attached to the outside of the carrying bag, so not helpful to reduce the size of the tent to get it into the bag. Once stuffed back into the bag, the tent was a little too long to fit sideways in the back of our Ford Escape or the standard sized roof top cargo carrier, but it does fit at an angle.

Coleman 6-person Instant Tent - Best Tent Ever.

This tent is excellent. I had the larger version and downsized after 5 years. This tent goes up in less than a minute as advertised. It rained the first night I had it up and was completely dry inside. I would recommend the extra fly in case you need to get in or out during rain. Takedown was just as easy as setup. The bag is big enough to easily fit the tent in once you open and then try to re-pack the tent. I would consider this the best tent I have ever had and I have been a Scout leader camping for 14 years.
Goes up just as fast as advertised, excluding setting the stakes. Very roomy for two to three people; no way six adults could sleep on the floor with one to a bag. Height is great; I'm six feet tall, and I can stand up inside easily. Seams are well taped for weather resistance. Construction is excellent. Be careful when collapsing and folding the tent; I got fingers on both hands trapped in the pole joints at the same time - VERY painful and difficult to get out of! Stakes are flimsy, not the Coleman spike stakes; spend six bucks and get the good ones unless you camp on really soft ground. Overall, great value for the money.

Great Price and Easy Setup

This was a great priced tent here at Walmart. Cheaper then anywhere else and free shipping. It was so simple to put up. I did it alone. It is very roomy which we were lookimg for. We wanted to have space in it to put ALL our stuf. You can spread out in it and and be comfortable.

1. It does come with tent stakes but we have already considered buying stronger ones. We are not sure how they are going to hold up over many uses.
by tallent91199
2. small "wire" tent stakes come with it. I recommend purchasing more substantial stakes in windy weather.
by mezzomaniac
3. The tent comes with small metal stakes. I would recomend buying some larger plastic stakes.
by IronhorseAl
4. It does come with 10 metal stakes, but they aren't very high quality and bend pretty easily. I bought more durable stakes to use with the tent.
by JFreezy84
5. It came with stakes. they are the metal ones, but are pretty thick.
by Aloysius2
6. both
by unk1
7. yes the do.
by cfun
8. You get those little chrome spikes that you can push into the ground about 5 inches. Id recommend buying 4 heavy-duty stakes for the corners.

9. they come with it

1. Yes 2 queen airbeds will fit with space at the foot of each for other items. There would be no space between the air mattresses. We only use one queen air mattress and had a whole lot of space for our clothes, coolers, etc.
by tallent91199
2. No. A typical queen airbed is 61"x77", the widest side of the tent is 120". So, your 2 inches SHORT from side to side. If you forced it (taking up an inch of tent on each side), you'd have a space 31" wide by 108 inches long (9') left.
by mezzomaniac
3. 2 queen air beds would take up the entire floor space with just enough room to get out the door. The "sleeps six" is based on sleeping bags on the floor as is most tents.
by Belix162
4. Yes, you can fit two queen airbeds, but there will be almost no space to walk around. You will pretty much be crawling/walking on the airbeds.
by JFreezy84
5. queen 60x80,tent 8x7.
by unk1
6. Based on how much room one queen bed took up, there should be a little gap between them to stand up. Getting the two-room tent might be a better bet if you need extra space.
by HemiHauler
7. Not positive - but dont think 2 queen size maybe 3 twin, and you might have a little room left over for gear.
by campergirl29
8. no, one queen air bed takes up about 2/3 space

1. No. It did rain when we used it and had no signs of water coming in.
by tallent91199
2. No. I'm trying to find one.
by mezzomaniac
3. No, a rain fly is not needed based on the design. But you can buy them on Amazon. We silicone all our tents and never had a problem with leaks.
by Belix162
4. No rain fly. Not needed. The tent doesn't leak.
by IronhorseAl
5. No rain fly comes with this tent. There are two small openings at the top for ventilation that can be closed if not needed.
by JFreezy84
6. there is an optional rainfly as an accessory but doesnt cover windows only supplies additional weatherproofing to top of tent
by unk1
7. Fly not included, but you can buy one on the Coleman website. I've seen other campers that had them and they are a typical fly with the average amount of coverage. Im told it kept the tent slightly cooler on a sunny day, and allowed for the windows to be left cracked during a steady rain.
by HemiHauler
8. no it doesnt come with one and they say you dont need it due to the new sealed up seams. I purchased one from Coleman directly to be on the safe side
