We have been charging our hybrid with this for couple of weeks and it has worked perfectly. We are new to hybrids, so we are learning gradually. I installed it our garage ( retired electrician) and it was a pretty easy install. With this unit, you need a 240 volt 50 amp dedicated circuit, so I did that ahead of time. We don't need that much power, but I am thinking ahead to pure EV, in the future. I especially like the connection to the IPhone, which gives charging report, and estimates the cost of each charge. Plus it is really cool looking!

Good 240v EV charger

This was an easy setup with the ChargePoint App. I have used the charger two times and was able to charge the higher capacity battery to the Ioniq5 from 18% to 80% in 5 hrs 20 min. Using a 110 wall outlet the charge time was measured in days. I checked circuit breakers, cord, and unit for temperature. All were mildly warm. I am confident that the unit is performing as designed.

A positive experience!

I selected the ChargePoint home charger unit based on user reviews, and opted to buy it from Walmart because of price and availability. The new unit was delivered promptly and without any damage. I used the unit a few times at my workplace to charge our new (used) EV, while getting bids for the cost of home installation. Once the home installation was completed, the unit has operated very well in general. The only minor problem with this unit was that re-configuring it from a 30 amp circuit (at work) to a 60 amp circuit (at home) took a while using the ChargePoint phone app. After several attempts, I finally succeeded by removing the charger from my ChargePoint account, and then reinstalled it. During the re-installation, I was able to upgrade the electrical service rating from 30A to 60A. The charger has been fine since then. This problem should not appear if you aren't switching from a lower to a higher rated circuit. The ChargePoint phone app is very good, allowing you to monitor the status of the charger, the charge in progress, and the amount and cost of energy delivered to the vehicle. It also allows charging to be scheduled to take advantage of the lowest electrical rates for those with "Time of use" billing. Lots of other features too, including mapping out the locations of public charging stations to your phone.
