    Great Remote

Replaced a remote that I had used for 17 years. Only had to install a 9 volt battery adjust the dip switches to match my original receiver and it worked perfectly.

    Chapter universal remote

Excellent universal ceiling fan remote ! Uses programmable dip switches to set up to communicate with an existing transmitter or if your fan is not equipped this unit has enclosed a easy to wire transmitter included with this remote. Outstanding price ! I shopped around and noticed this remote is identical to one i purchased with my Kichler brand fan. A replacement from Kichler is priced at over sixty dollars ! This remote is a great value for only approximately ten bucks ! Highly recommended. Also this remote will receive commands at over 40 feet away !

WILL NOT WORK WITH LED OR CFL BULBS!!!!!

This remote DOES NOT work with LED bulbs!! I tried both GE and GV bulbs, 40w, 60w and 100w as well as dimmable and non-dimmable and every single one has a rapid pulsating pattern, like a strobe light.... I've seen other reviews posted here saying otherwise, thanks to that bogus info, I now have to pull the entire fan back down, unwire it completely, drive back to Walmart and return 3 of this worthless units, then drive to Home Depot and buy units that'll work with today's light bulbs... And here I thought I was being slick and saving some cash using these, but that's an epic fail, because had I known these wouldn't work, I'd of just gone with the slightly higher priced fan that included a remote... Now, given all the extra hassle on top of the increased price for the right remote, now I've wasted a whole day on this... It also states at the very end of the instructions "DO NOT USE WITH SOLID STATE FANS"... And I'm talking at the very end, like where you would expect copyright info to be... It does say on the package that it's "not compatible with most CFL bulbs", but it doesn't mention anything about LED bulbs on either the packaging or in the directions... All that someone had to do was label the package, product description or website to state that this remote is 10 years out of date and doesn't work with the LED bulbs that are used in 95% of the fans availible....

    Excellent Remote

The house I moved into has this remote for the fan/light in the family room. I use it almost every day & it works great. I recently got a new fan for a bedroom and found the same one at Walmart for only $18!!! The name brands are more than twice as much. It was easy to install, very simple to use and works perfectly. I highly recommend this remote!!!!

This is as great as the other reviews say

This is a great item for a great price. you can mount this to a Hugger fan as long as the antena and unit are above the housing of the fan and the remote can communicate without the signal being blocked by metal. very easy to install with modern ceiling fans. highly recommended you will be very pleased. There are other remotes at Home Depot that cost almost as much some ceiling fans. You will need bulbs that are dimmable for the remote control to work correctly. If you are installing a new ceiling fan go ahead get you won't be disappointed.

    Best product...

The product is the best, goes with any ceiling fan. Bought & installed 4 remotes. No one beats the Walmart price!

Just like the more expensive models

This is the exact remote that other stores sell for double the price. Very easy to install and was happy to see it be the exact match remote that had gone bad after 10 years. Great deal!

    Just about perfect

Original remote broke - wires came loose and couldn't get solder to hold. Looked all over the internet including the fan manufacturer. They wanted over $60 for their replacement remote. Bought this since it has the matching 4 pin coding method. Plugged in the 9v battery and worked perfectly after setting the code. The plastic isn't as sturdy or heavy but I saved $40. Hard to find and was lucky that it was at a local store. GREAT BUY!

    remote for less

This remote is the best and is priced so anybody can have one .It is convenient and easy to install and use don't buy it anywhere else but at Wal Mart or will pay to much///////

Works great by itself orwith smart home automation

Works great. Walmart has the best price for them by far. I bought 3 and put them in three different brands of fans and they all worked. It also works with BOND, a wi-fi controller that allows you to use Alexa or Google home with your ceiling fans. Just make sure you use the non CFL bulbs, otherwise they flicker. LED bulbs work great.
