i WOULD BUY IT AGAIN
Runs good, starts easy; I wish it could be lighter, but weight compares with the competition. Upon taking it out of the box and during the set up I discovered the air cleaner cap was hanging to the side with the filter also hanging half way out of the holder. I tried to close it but could not; had to take it out and turn it around so it would fit in the cap that snaps over the filter. QC!!! The wheels on my 3400 remote start (as mentioned above) are not designed for use on anything but pavement. The clearance around the wheel is so close small rocks get up in between and bind the wheel. Fix this by designing a taper around the wheel so the housing is not parallel to the wheel surface. .

Electric start stopped working on 4th day!
I bought the 3400w model with electric and remote start to avoid going outside to turn it on. On the 4th day of our first camping trip the electric start stopped working. The battery on switch would just barely light up after a few seconds. I took the battery out and it was fully charged. Checked the battery connections but still could not get it to run. Had to pull start the rest of our trip. I think there is a bad connection in the circuitry but it's disappointing to have a brand new generator do this. I called the local service center and they're 45 days out on repairs. Only one guy who does the repairs and he's on the road for the next month. Other than that the generator has plenty of power. It runs my 13500BTU A/C just fine.

great generator !!

bought this to use in our fifth wheel trailer.started right up after putting in oil, long funnel came with it, easy to service. had to hook up battery, no big deal. took it over the weekend and used it under light loads for the first tank of fuel. break in says 5 hours of light use. from inside trailer you could start and stop generator. Makes it nice for the wife ! even with the windows open it was really quite. you can stand right next to it and carry on a conversation. after breaking it in , it would run our 12500 btu AC with no sweat ! think for price it is great value and quality. will give that red unit a run for its money ! easy to wheel around and not to heavy to lift, handles well placed. nice feature is that the 30 amp cord would plug into generator with out using an adapter. Real easy to pull start.

Champion Pure Sine Wave With Remote Start

I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the Champion Pure Sine Wave Generator. It meets and exceeds all expectations. Plenty of pure power and it can run my air conditioner and microwave. It is well made, easy to service, (oil and filter change) and has a great fold down handle. The price is right and would gladly buy another. I had a slight problem with the remote start fob but they sent me more of them and they work just perfect. I most definitely buy another and whole heartedly recommend this generator to others. My only hope is that they don't raise the price so others can afford to buy this fine product. Sometimes I just point the exhaust away from the truck on the tailgate and do not even take it out of the truck bed. It cools down fast also. Great product. Gary Jarrette

Great generator through break-in period

I bought this generator several weeks ago and followed the break-in instructions. It has started immediately and is not much louder than my Honda. After the break-in, I tested it on my trailer AC and it worked perfectly as expected. I will update after I test the generator more vigorously.

Nice generator

I have a 2000 watt inverter generator that was not able to run my water pump or my air compressor so I purchased the champion model 100261 inverter. It runs the pump and compressor so I am happy. I only have approx. 5 hours on it so we will see how reliable it is when I get more hours on it.

2nd Champion

I have a Champion 4500 remote start standard generator so when I decided t O buy one for camping I looked at Champion inverters. So far extremely pleased, it runs very quite , you can carry on conversation standing next to it. I'll see how it compares to the much more expensive red brand in January. My son owns one of those and we're getting together then. Remote start is one of the best features of this gen. It's so nice to be able to push a button and get power.

1st Inverter Generator, It's great

This is my first generator ever. I bought it for boondocking with my new travel trailer. Followed the break in procedure, then went off to explore the southwest. This generator met all my needs, the remote start was great for the cold mornings. I had looked at other brands of generators and bought a Champion, which I felt gave the best value.

best buy for the value you get

bought for my brother and the remote is a must for he is disabled and it sits 100 feet from 5th wheel, so hit the remote and you are live and cookin

So far so good

I've only had the generator for a few weeks. It's performed as advertised. I had my 5th wheel plugged to it. I tried running my microwave then my AC (separately) both functioned well. I was pleased with the low sound output. If the 3400 watt unit continues to perform like this I will be a happy camper. Remote start works great, only down side is in cold weather (45 degrees or less) it takes several attempts to start because it's choke is manual, unless you want to go outside and turn it on!

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue so early in the machine's life. As you said, it may be something simple like a loose wire or maybe even a bad switch if the light is barely lighting up. We have 5 service dealers between Salt Lake and Ogden. I will email you a complete list so that perhaps a different dealer can take a look at the machine for you.
