I have made jelly for years with the powdered pectin. I had help with the jelly maker who taught me 45+ years ago. We followed the directions exactly. The jelly with the powdered pectin set perfectly. using the same juice base - NONE of the jelly with the liquid pectin set.
This product was recommended by the hospital, for my baby, to thicken the formula she needs. It works great, and it is so easy to order online from Walmart and get a whole month's supply at one time. store might not have as many boxes as I need.
I used the liquid for the first time. I usually use the powder kind. Unfortunately my jam did not set using this liquid. I am not saying the liquid was ineffective - but for me for what ever reason I ended up with peach syrup instead of jam. Even when I tried to salvage the jam and opened it and boiled it again and added powder pectin, it did not set. I probably will not buy it again.
