Oooorah!!!
As a former Navy SEAL (1971-1976), I needed a no-nonsense, analog dive (380') watch! That is this watch. A good value for the $$$! Rod W.

My grandson wanted this watch, not one I would have suggested. However, since he is 8 y/o, I am sure he will enjoy it for a while. He likes the way it looks, and as he matures, he will look for quality, durability, accuracy and then how it looks.

Great style and features for the money

This watch looks far more expensive than it is. Only the band lacks a look and feel of quality, and for $12, I put a great black rubber dive watch band on it. The luminous dial is pretty dim, but it remains readable in total darkness all night long. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters, but is not recommended for SCUBA use. However, that degree of water tightness assures that it will remain problem free for swimming, showering, watersports, fishing, boating, etc. The day/date feature is usually found only on higher price watches. I highly recommend this watch for casual, everyday use. It keeps time accurately, looks great, and it is not so expensive that you have to worry about it getting damaged or lost. And as an added bonus for those of us with old eyes, the numerals are big, bold, and easy to read at a quick glance.

Casio delivers a lot of bang for the buck...

Of course, it keeps good time, and it's water resistant to 100M (that's over 325ft), it's also day-date! It has a pleasant appearance, with no-nonsense numbers, white-on-black, and the hands and numerals are luminous! The case back is held on by four screws, so replacing the battery should be a piece of cake! The watch is a bit bigger than I expected, but that's fine. For me, the strap is a bit too long, but better that it's too long than too short, right? It would have been a deal at the original $19.92 price, but the price just dropped to $16.92 (as of Apr 2014)! Go get one while you can!

This Casio watch is a great value

After about a month's use I am completely satisfied with Casio's Analog Dive-Style watch. I actually bought this watch instead of replacing a worn out band on a similar 3-year old Casio watch. There was only about a $3 difference between a new band for the old watch and the price for this new watch. And of course the new watch has a new 5-year battery. It just seemed that the purchase of the new watch vs a new watchband was a no brainer. I like the easy readability of this watch. It is a pretty good sized watch, but is very light on the wrist. No, I don't intend to test its 100 meter dive capability, but I don't have to worry about getting it wet. Accuracy is excellent. I think this watch is a great everyday, carefree timepiece.

This is a very nice watch for little money and serves the purpose for an everyday run around watch. Looks similar to the official Luminox Navy Seal watch for a fraction of the price.

A good watch with large numbers that are easy to read. Water resistant so you don,t have to worry about getting it wet. Great value!!

1. no

2. ... never saw/heard a watch that would wake anyone who was not already past REM sleep and almost awake so, No ... no alarm; and I would not have wanted to pay extra for it either. Also ... hard to figure how an alarm would resonate loud enough in a plastic (oops! resin) case. I recommend a portable wind-up alarm clock with bells. And, with only a little effort the clock and watch could keep each other synchronized.

2. It must be changed manually to accommodate months with less than 31 days.

3. Manually to accommodate months less than 31 days.
by HoppaZ
4. They must be set manually when you get the watch. Once you set the day and select English or Spanish you are good to go. The date assumes 31 day months, so it will require periodic corrections unlike the LCD watches, but it easy to do.
by Humulescent
5. It is manually set and then automatic until one of those pesky short months come along and we will have to fool with it to reset the date.
by DRE29
6. Aside from the bezel dial's elapse time (ET) functionality, it also provides me with 2 other advantages. (1) Since I selected the “daytime” (black on white) watch display version (apologies to those unaware of that bit of classic info about non-submerged, day
by Steffy
7. It needs to be set out of the box but once set it changes on its own
by youhectic
8. You set the day date about once every other month. Goes up to 31st.
by rmacewen1
9. The day and date change automatically, but the mechanism expects a 31-day month. After the last day of a non-31-day month, you'll need to manually advance the date. That does not affect the day, 'cuz day and date are set separately.

1. The outside ring rotates allowing you to time things.
by kayaker23
2. when you start your scuba dive you rotate the benzel with the red mark (zero or start dive time) to the minute hand on the watch. as time progresses you can read how many minutes you have been underwater because the moving minute hand will point to a different and progressively larger number on the benzel. this is only necessary if you are diving deeper than 33 feet or do more than one dive in the same day. not timing deep scuba dives or repetitive dives leads to the bends, which is very bad.
by jbogwan
3. A rotating bezel allows you to mark time while diving, driving etc., by placing the point on the bezel to a number for reference. It can also with training be used with a map for navigational purposes.
by memo66
4. bezel is the time-piece structure that holds glass or plastic on top of watch.rotating moves around usally counter clockwise why regular bezel doesn't move at all
by An anonymous customer
5. You can rotate the outer ring so minute hand points to zero mark on ring. Allows to to track minutes as they pass. It turns freely, with only friction. No ratcheting
by rmacewen1
6. The bezel is marked from 0 to 60 and can be rotated around the dial to mark a specific amount of elapsed time. For example, if the minute hand is at the 12 minute mark, you could rotate the bezel to align the 0 with the minute hand to mark the starting point of a timed event. Or, you can put the 0 at the point on the dial to mark an end time, like a countdown timer. So you have the choice of using it as an elapsed timer or a countdown timer, depending on where you place the 0 mark on the bezel in relation to the minute hand.
by SammColt45
7. The rotating bezel is the ring around the face that has the red triangle, 15, 30, & 45 on it. It can be rotated to line up any number on it with one of the hands on the watch. The watch is called a diver's watch so, for instance, if you have one hour's air, you would line up the red-triangle with the minute hand, wherever it happens to be pointing, and when the minute hand comes back to the red triangle, you're out of air and about to drown. More likely, we would use it to remind us of the time we've just paid for on a parking meter, and when to be back to avoid a citation. (Just between you and me, mostly, it's just for looks.)
