I actually bought these because I thought they were ceramic and because they were so inexpensive it was just what i needed. Unfortunately they were metal with ceramic coating (salad ingredients should not be cut with a metal knife for a longer shelf life). however, these turned out to be much nice than i expected so i will keep them and look for another set for my lettuce 😀

I suffer with severe wrist %26 thumb arthritis accompanied with bilateral neuropathy of my bilateral arms %26 hands. The handles of these knives feel very comfortable to hold and the weight is light, but not so light that you feel.they are cheap. The blades are very sharp. The sleeves are a great plus!
