While they're a little wobbly and my husband didn't like the hardware included for installation (he tossed it and used his own), these holdbacks are cute and functional. I especially like the silver rubbing around the edges.

These tiebacks are great..I bought blackout curtains and want to a able to open them quick when I get up. The tiebacks are wide enough to quickly place curtains and the curtain drapes well then. Easy to install.

They are much "flimsy-er" than I expected - they bend very easily... so with a little one in the house I don't know how many more times I can bend them back in shape before they will snap in two. They look really nice and work well with lightweight curtains. After purchasing them I did find similar ones at big lots for the same price.

    • A. You install the tie backs so that the open end of the "U" shape is facing away from the window. This way, the hook actually holds the fabric back away from the window

I have 6 blackout panels in my bedroom, as it's a large sliding glass door. Will these holdbacks hold 3 panels each or only strong enough for one?

    • A. They hold one blackout very well, it will be a real tight squeeze with two but not three. The arm is too short.

    • A. i see you wrote your question 3 years ago, so you have probably solved the problem. anyway, i know how thick blackout curtains are, and i don't think there's enough room to hold that much fabric. i used them for really lightweight curtain. i don't know if they'd be strong enough, but my guess would be that they would be.

    • A. I do not think they will hold. The curve is short - it is just right for our windows, but they are cotton, unlined, and a single panel, each. I definitely think you will need a hold-back that is larger, and has a full curve to hold three panels. Black out fabric is thicker, and don't think this hold-back would work - for even one panel.

    • A. Mine easily hold 2 heavy panels each. They are plenty strong if they are secured properly. Outside dimensions: 4 1/2" longest side and 4" deep, 3 1/2" knob side

    • A. Due to the size of the holdbacks and the fact that you are using blackout panels, I don't think they would hold back more than one each.

    • A. the brackets are strong enough to hold as many panels as you can put in them the only problem is the room for them they will hold 3 panels if the panels are not to thick of a material good luck

    • A. I would guess no more than two. I have mine holding back just one pannel but there looks like there would be room to hold two panels w one of these holdbacks.

    • A. They really do not hold one curtain. Part of it comes out of the holdback. They do not come around far enough to hold all of one curtain.

    • A. They are strong enough, if you use anchors they come with, but not really large enough for 3 panels. I have 2 panels on each side and they barely fit.

    • A. Some do. I ordered three sets. One of the three had the end pieces packed separately. But the fully assembled hold backs didn't present much of an obstacle during installation with a cordless screwdriver. You just need to get in at the right angle.
