Canon PIXMA TR4522 Wireless All in One Office Printer:
I have had a lot of "cheap" printers at home in the past. I have worked at an office with expensive printers for over 20 years. By far this is the best at home printer and more reliable than most of those I have had in my office at work as well. Those whom say it's not connecting is probably user error because yes - it took a bit to understand what it requires to have a successful printing connection. It's perfect and is reliable. I've had it for over a year and it's still going strong!
After reading the reviews I was very skeptical about the product, but the price was great! I set up the printer but didn't feel like having to deal with setting up the wireless printing so I attached a USB printer cable (which was not included) and it worked perfectly! It even worked with the automatic double-sided printing. The printer itself does feel pretty cheap, but what can you expect for the price. As long as it works! I recommend for anyone looking for a cheap printer to get the job done!
Fussy to get to work consistently. Not user-friendly. It does print well and quickly when itâs working. Itâs definitely geared towards printing photos off your phone, so if thatâs what youâre looking for, it would probably work betterâI want to print docs, etc. For $50, itâs adequate
I bought this yesterday specifically for the automatic duplex printing. However, I've spent the past hour trying to get it to work without success. It prints the first side, pulls the paper back in, but then pushes it back out without flipping it and begins printing the 2nd page on the rollers. I've read the manual, checked all the settings, and tried different weight papers, all to no avail. What use is a wireless printer if I'm going to have to sit and feed the paper in to it so that it'll print correctly? I will be returning this and looking at other brands.
I bought this printer to use for school. It has some neat features, but you will need a phd astrophysics , mechanical and electrical engineering to master it. After thorough study and all of the work to set it up, I find that I have to keep setting it up. The ink cartridge is expensive and gives you a good ten pages before you need to purchase another expensive ink cartridge (NOT sold in any local store). I've printed two papers on it and I'm on my third cartridge. The print quality is okay as long as you don't try to get to get fancy and print double sided. After hours of fighting with it tonight, I will go get a new printer that I don't feel the need to throw off the balcony every time I attempt to use it. This printer is good stress relief once you beat it with a sledgehammer.
Spent way too much time just trying to get this thing to work. Followed their set up instructions to the letter, printer wouldn't work. Finally by passed something on the instructions and printer worked. Printed out maybe 20 sheets in black and white. Print cartridge already low. Trying to find print cartridge online is another story, Canon didn't initially show a replacement and even after typing in the cartridge number that came with the printer, Canon does not list it as compatable. Trying to load in print cartridge was another hassle, lended up breaking the carriage that holds the cartridge. Never had issues with my HP printer. Canon is junk
I bought the warranty plan for this printer and plan to return it today after a few months of having it. The printer is very loud, which I can deal with. But, after about 3 months it stops its wireless connectivity, I tried to contact canon support but they wanted to charge me to fix it after I waited 35 minutes (LITERALLY) on hold. Completely worthless piece of equipment. I regret my purchase. For the product to work, you have to uninstall and reinstall the software each time the printer power cycles.
