I knew I wanted to get my own camera after borrowing and using several friends, and decided I DEFINITELY wanted to go with Canon over anything else. I didn't think I'd use the touch screen as much... but I use it all the time! I'm in marketing so my favorite part? The quick and easy process from getting photos from my camera to my phone. I would buy this camera 10x over.

Manuals & Guides
I am very impressed with the T6i camera body. My use is advanced landscape photography on a tripod. The new high resolution 24 MP APS-C sensor combined with the Digic 6 processor truly works. Technical reviews tell the story far better then I can. I decided to roll the dice and give it a try. I'm so glad that I did. I chose this camera over the 80D because of its compact size and light weight. The sensor and processor in both cameras are identical. Classic Rebel cameras are also wonderfully user friendly. The T6i combined with premium lenses delivers the goods when used correctly. Images area clean and sharp across the frame. Large 20x30 prints are exceptional. The detail is amazing. Subtle detail and fine highlights show up better on most computer monitors with a little zoom (just a tip). Hence why large prints look so good. This camera is a game changer. The T6i is a great choice for the beginner or a seasoned pro. I highly recommend this camera.
Whoa! This camera is incredible! Before I purchased this, I had an SL1. It was a great camera, but the autofocus couldn't meet my standards. This camera exceeds them. With the 19 all cross-type focus points, this camera is sharp and lightning-quick. The articulating monitor is pretty neat to have too, as I film myself a lot for blogging. The 5 fps shooting also comes in handy. But enough about specs! How about the video? It is spectacular! One thing that the SL1 lacked was compact video sizes. On this camera, I can get 2 hours of 720p HD for only 4 GB! That's pretty awesome! And on top of that, quality is crisp, and the microphone actually is pretty good for a built in one. I just wish recordings didn't cut off at 30 minutes. This camera also feels GREAT to hold. It feels professional, while it is also lightweight. I highly recommend this camera. Don't worry-it is perfect for beginners and intermediates.
A lot of pros and a few cons with this camera. Lets start with the pros. I purchased the camera with the 18-55 mm lens at a reasonable price. The touch screen is a major plus, it makes it easier to use. The tilt screen allows you to view above crowds and get those low level shots with your pets. The multiple preset and manual selections allows you to be creative with your pictures. It is a beginners camera with a lot of features. Now for the cons. You won't find replacement batteries at any corner store. You will have to order it online. Use caution when using after market batteries for this camera. The auto focus is nice and quite but It tends to struggle a little. Connecting the camera via WiFi is nice but you need to know what you're doing. With that being said I feel that the T6i is perfect for a novice or intermediate photographer like myself.
No PC to Camera WIFI
I was looking forward to the higher grade functions IE, Wifi 24MB, Digi 6 possessor etc. My main hope was to connect to the PC with the Wifi function for the purpose of remote image control for telescope live viewing to minimize the need for wires interfering and to change camera settings -ISO, timings etc. But the ICON on the camera is removed. (only available on the 70D which has a digi5 prossesor) I have no option but use USB. If the a camera or general device has Wifi it is accepted that is connectable to a PC I shouldn't have to read the fine so to speak to find out the hard way and to have already paid for a camera. Canon please release a firmware change and enable Wifi to PC function it's only fair. Please consider thank you.
Excellent but feels too fragile
We're a big active family and this camera has all the tech savvy perks but just felt way too fragile to handle. Didn't seem rugged enough for our needs of using this on family vacations and traveling. Seemed perfect for elegant, formal affairs like weddings and other special events.
