This lens was well worth the investment! I take pictures as a hobby and would get frustrated at not being able to get close enough to my subject matter.

For camera lovers
I recently purchased a 75-300 mm lens and I love it. I am able to get shots that I was unable to before. I am still playing with it and getting familiar but it is easy to use. As a fulltime working mom that loves to take pics of scenery, wildlife, plants & flowers and of course my lil girl; I look forward to future photo opportunities.
Excellent Lens for Amateurs
This is an excellent lens for the price! I just clicked it onto the front of my Canon Rebel EOS and started snapping away. Beautiful action shots with out effort! Shots were actually better than the local professionals!
I bought this lens to get up close pictures of my son playing baseball. This lens has proven to be exactly what I wanted!!! Love this lens so much!!!!
Great lens paired with my Rebel XS EOS camera. Used it for the first time at the Blue Angels air show and got great close ups and action shots even with cloudy rainy conditions. The IS feature is a must and performed flawlessly. My only concern was the auto focus sometimes would fully extend and lock which caused some missed pics. The rain and because I was using the multiple shot feature may have been the cause. For an over all service lens the 18-200 zoom might be a better fit.
New Canon USM Lens
Not quite as stable as the new EF-S lenses, this is a great cost-saving compromise lens. Very quiet & easy to use & it is also economical. Be sure to use a tripod for those long distance shots, but none needed for close-ups if your hand is steady.
Love the lens and it helps with sports photography so much!
It zoomed in on my subjects really well and made the photos so clear. It works so well for sports shots and I love using it.
Its a great lens. Works great. Moves nice with auto or manual modes. Good distance not heavy it dose make the camera a smidgen heavier but not noticeable enough to not use lens. Its also comfortable feeling in your hand.
Not What I Expected
I was looking for a lens that would allow me to zoom in but this was not the one. Sadly disappointed with the quality of this lens, but you get what you pay for it seems. Pictures were not as sharp as I had hoped for.
Not actually the USM model.
Canon makes two nearly identical lenses: the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III, and the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM. The only real difference is the type of motor used in the auto focus mechanism. This listing says it is the USM model (which is the higher quality motor), but the one I received is not.
