First of all, I own the SX600 and bought the SX610 for my daughter. Really enjoy the wireless feature. No cords needed to transfer pics to my iPad. The zoom is great for getting closeups. With this camera I used the zoom feature combined with the fireworks settings to get great fireworks pics and I was over a mile away. I used a tripod to obtain good pics. I have a Nikon DSL camera but this takes better pics and can just slip this in my pocket.

Great point and shoot camera
Paid a little more for this camera than I was going to but I'm glad I did! The optical zoom is great. Glad I spent the money. Well worth it! Takes great pictures, even if you are a little shakey.
Canon PowerShot SX610 HS Digital Camera
My first impression of this camera has been good so far. Basic pictures and video have been easy to use and look good. For a simple point and shoot it is worth the money. It has an excellent zoom but I tend to wiggle and need to put it on a tripod when shooting with the full zoom on. It can do a lot more and it will take time for me to find out the full extent...so far so good.
Camera works wonders!
The pictures come out great. We've taken nature shots and concert shots from both row 23 and the nosebleeds and it's given us some great memories. I wish it had come in other colors when I purchased it (or rather that Walmart had carried the other colors it comes in), but they had the best deal and this was the color they had (white).
Great little Camera with all the bells & whistles
I purchased this camera for my husband's birthday and he loves it. Great zoom and HD pictures. Movies are clear and the sound is precise. Overall great transaction and super fast delivery!
very good camera
it takes great pictures right out of the box, the pop up flash is very helpful
Not much included but the camera.
I was disappointed when purchasing this camera from Walmart as when it arrived it did not have a memory card, cords nor carrying case included. It only had the camera, a strap/string, battery and battery charger.
Cannon Powershot SX610 Digital Camera
Got this camera that is said to have WiFi and 2 very experienced people worked over 2 hours to get it connected to the computer so I could get the pictures transferred to the computer (I am not tech savy) and it still did not work. I am so disappointed. If I didn't want to be connected to the computer I wouldn't have gotten it. Works OK otherwise but old one was great just did not have WiFi. It should not be so complicated to connect.
The camera arrived with no registration card to register the camera and no instruction booklet, although both of these items were listed on the box as included. I will never buy anything from Jet.com again. Although Jet's customer service rep assured me that this wasn't a rebuilt model, the fact that these two items were missing leads me to suspect that they sent me a camera someone had returned to them.
Impossible to work with
Can't find the simplest functions (deleting photos off the card) The directions have nothing to do with what is actually on the camera. Everything is abbreviated to the point of being meaningless. No way to contact support short of a phone call. No email? Flimsy little doors for removing card and inserting cord.
