I watched this bag for several months(Price), I knew I wanted it but I put off buying until I couldn't pass it up, Dicks Sporting Goods had it marked down to 165.00, minus 10.00 for every 50.00 = 30.00, plus 20.00 DicksSportingGoods Card, walked out with what I had been wanting , and watching the price.......$115.00, and then to fill it up with my Callaway Clubs, great combo

Great Stand Bag, Awesome Color Combo

With so many golf bags to choose from, why would someone choose the Callaway Fusion 14? Here is why I have.

I was looking for a Hybrid golf bag – one suitable for both strapping to my back, and strapping to a cart (both riding and push). My basic requirements were:

• for carrying, I wanted double shoulder straps and a stand
• for cart use I wanted the cart straps to not interfere any way whatsoever with the pockets or other features of the bag. I also wanted the shoulder straps to be completely and easily (click on/off) removable.

Wanting double straps and a stand did not reduce my available choices much - basically only eliminating dedicated cart bags. But the removable should straps feature for when using a cart eliminated many of the available bags. I considered removing this as a must-have, in order to expand my options. I realized however that sacrificing this feature would be a regret I would possibly not get over. Every time I had to move a strap aside I would wish it wasn't there.

With removable shoulder straps defined as a must have, the next concern was making sure that when using a cart, the cart straps would not cover pockets or features. Solution – a cart strap pass through tunnel (something that the 2019 Fusion 14 does not have, more on that later). 

The only bag I found that had both these features was the Titleist Hybrid 14 – a new bag for 2019. So I bought one. And then returned it. Not knocking the Titleist bag completely, as it is a beautiful bag, and you should definitely consider it. But here are the reasons I returned it.

• The Pinch. When you have a flat bottom bag like the Titleist or the Ping Hoofer, your clubs will get pinched when leaning on the stand legs. To what degree and how much this may bother you is subjective. But it will happen. 
• The Pockets. Fewer pockets is not a bad thing, but if you find yourself using zip lock baggies to organize your stuff, maybe additional/different pockets would be beneficial. I personally do not need two large apparel pockets, mostly because the climate I am in doesn't require it. One apparel pocket for a windbreaker or sweater is fine. A second one, and I am getting out the zip lock baggies to utilize it and stay organized, or just not use it.
• No Velcro (hook and loop) patch for a glove. Minor, but please.
• Towel ring, but without opening. Minor again, but I don't want to add a carabiner to attach a towel with an eyelet.

The Callaway Fusion 14 resolved all the above and more.

The one thing the Fusion 14 is missing is a cart-strap pass through tunnel. However, I believe Callaway has located the pockets such that the strap will not block access to them nor the towel ring (since the ring can be flipped out of the way. (I have yet to use the bag on a cart, so will update this review if I find out otherwise).

Summary:

I think Callaway has already listed the Pros to this bag, so no need for me to repeat them, and I do not dispute them.

As for Cons – I have none, save for the missing pass through tunnel, which I anticipate will not be an issue.

I also want to note that I just purchased the bag today, and I have not used it. I have rated the durability as excellent, but I have no on-course use to support this. Durability will be proven (or disproven) in time, but since I intend to get a good 5 years plus use out of this bag, I'm not sure this review would serve much purpose in 2014.

Pocket are great

I recently got the Callaway Fusion 14 bag, everything on the bag is nice and functional except for the pocket intended forthe Jlab crasher mini. It seems I just threw 35 bucks down the drain on this speaker, I have watched multiple videos online and the speaker pouch seems much bigger and easy to zip up witj the speaker inside the mesh pouch. What am I missing? I have seen other reviews online about people complaining about this same issue.
