Top Quality Anchovies

These are the best quality anchovies I've found. Almost no bones, less salty taste than most and no fishy smell. Fairly priced for the quality. The tin package is more economical than the slightly smaller product in a jar. I always keep these on hand for cooking and salads.

Delicious and nutritious

I try to eat smaller fish such as anchovies/sardines at least three times a week - they are packed with beneficial nutrients and I enjoy the umami flavor they provide. While it can be a little messy to open the can and drain off the olive oil, it is worth it for the taste and flavor. I have seen other brands use cheaper oils such as sunflower in their anchovies and there are no real health benefits to those oils so I prefer this brand. The nutritional profile is quite balanced (not too heavy in any particular macro) so it is easy enough to incorporate it into most dishes - on a sandwich, with sushi, crackers, salads, etc. The price is also fair and and I like to stock up when there is a sale.

Intense

I chose these in hopes they were a relatively sustainable seafood option and a healthy and beneficial protein ingredient. The flavor is very salty and sharp, which I guess is the usual anchovy taste so no drama there. I ended up using this product to add protein and a bit of salt to homemade coleslaw — a bit weird but it sort of worked. The size is small but it feels sufficient for the price. The package is paper around a can and the can is easy to open — it has a tab. The smell is fine.
